We are incredibly proud to be presenting Tūrama Festival for its second year. 2019 was a huge success, which has pushed the team to build a bigger event for 2020.

Tūrama, which means to give light to, or to illuminate in te reo Māori will transform Albert Park into a playground for the curious. In the heart of Auckland CBD, the best of New Zealand’s creatives are developing an immersive dreamland of interactive artworks and mesmerising performance art.

Enter via the main entrance on Princes Street and you’ll find a lineup of homegrown music talent, tasty kai from a curated list of nutritious and culturally diverse food vendors, the main bar and the arts trail ticket office. Tickets to the arts trail are $8 in advance or $10 on the door. Under 16s can explore for free! Drinks from the main bar may be taken on the arts trail. We recommend allowing at least two hours to explore all the artworks.

Tūrama brings Auckland’s creative arts community together with the many diverse communities and cultures the city has evolved to encompass. For four days, Albert Park will shine bright and captivate the diversity of Auckland, the City of the Future.

Tūrama will host the official opening event of Elemental AKL, a month-long series of events run by ATEED on Thursday 1st October at 6pm. More details on the organisers and Elemental AKL below.

It is of great importance to us that everyone is able to explore Tūrama with as much ease as possible. Along with some of the artists we will be running free-of-charge tours for those who have hearing difficulties or are visually impaired on Thursday 1st October at 3pm.
