A politician who destroys vs a politician who builds and grows.

Now they have appointed Judith Collins, who talks about National ‘crushing’ the government and ‘taking back’ the country, as though New Zealand was their own private possession. As Jim Bolger has warned, pugilistic power-grabbing is about the last thing that most Kiwis want or need at the moment.
…Crusher as Prime Minister would be a terrifying prospect on every front from public education to public health to public welfare to public policing to public housing to public prisons.
In short, Crusher is a threat to the public.
Judith would get those borders open for her Chinese Business friends quicker than you can say Kauri Swamp.
National have put her in power because they were frightened and desperate, in doing so they have unleashed a politician whose divisiveness and garden variety bigotry demean us all.
National should be ashamed for putting in a leader as deeply flawed as this, just as they should be ashamed for putting in Todd Muller who clearly was out of his depth.
I’d say Judith is Muldoon in drag but Robert was never this muscular.

The threshold as to when Judith would declare martial law and what her definition of our civil rights would be fucking light years apart.

We should never lose sight of the fact Adolf Hitler was once a very popular leader seen as Germany’s savior.
What percentage of there being Chinese interference in our democracy over the next two months? 100% would be accurate.
The people most excited about Collins being the National Party leader are Chinese, especially the CCP.
Well Hitler did save Germany from the high unemployment and hopelessness that characterised the country after the French demanded unpayable reparations and the government [of the early 1920s] saw the only way out as printing money…thereby triggering hyper-inflation. He did get the factories working again…only many of them for the wrong purpose, as the German people were to discover in the late 1930s. Judith will do enough damage to ensure there is no Labour majority in the parliament.
MMP elections are always finely balanced so expect National to recover the ground they have lost as the threat of Covid slips from the public’s memory.
Judith’s campaign will harness the votes of the majority of the right wing including a number of fence sitters who were leaning in Jacinda and Grants direction.
The youth vote will be interesting. Last year we had all those climate change protests, if they are now of voting age and actually get out and vote, then it could be very telling
I must say that compared with the last 3 nat leaders Judith looks like she is revelling in the prospect of the campaign. She is happy and it shows . This if nothing else will carry some disappointed national voters.
But what her leadership means for the election could be anyone’s guess. Let’s see what the inquiry comes up with. My sense is that Muller Kaye and Adams have pulled out because they could not stand the dirty politics and lies they had to tell to cover for the operatives behind the scenes.
I am predicting that Muller will also resign from politics at the end of his time out.
Judith on the other hand I think is in her element with the undercover operations.
