My interview with Social Credit Leader Chris Leitch is now up on NZPTV .
One of the recurring questions on my Facebook page when I write about the neoliberal economics as practiced by our Labour , National , Greens, NZ First , Act coalition government is “What’s the alternative?” “Who else could I vote for?”
Well, there ARE alternative parties it’s just that they don’t get much attention on mainstream media.
So in upcoming posts I’ll be interviewing the leaders of some of the smaller parties standing at the next election and today my conversation is with Chris Leitch the Leader of the Social Credit Party.
But a bit of a heads up- it’s just over 30 mins longs so you might want to make yourself a cuppa first.
Long form interviews are not something you see a lot of mainstream these days because the programme executives believe most New Zealanders have a short attention span and talking heads are not good entertainment.
Me? I think if someone wants to stand for parliament to make our laws in the highest court in the land , it’s not a matter of entertainment it’s a matter of what kind of New Zealand they want me to live in if they get elected and I think that’s a serious issue which requires a decent length of conversation.
This interview , for example, is not intended to promote Social Credit just as my upcoming conversation with Geoff Simmons ,Leader of the TOP party, is not intended to promote their political and economic policies
My intention is simply to ask what I hope are relevant questions so that you are a bit better informed about what these smaller parties believe.
