BREAKING
62% of precincts reported in Iowa
26.9% Buttigieg
25.1% Sanders
18.3% Warren
15.6% Biden

It is absurd that they have no idea when the remaining 38% will be counted, the fucking Democrats have all the self-inflicted mutilation tendencies of a depressed teenager!

What we can say is the night is Buttigieg’s and Sanders, it has been terrible for Biden.

  1. The big upset is how poorly Biden is doing, considering all the polling and media hype. Looks like the fellow who’s been touted as the front-runner is barely even in the race.

  2. Iowa is a republican state and while winning the first primary is a tactical victory there are 3 states Sanders has to win, Westconsin, Virginia and Michigan. That would give Sanders the edge.

  3. The whole shemozzle that their elections have become serves as a reminder of the value of paper voting ballots. Don’t know about the US (it’s too big and too confusing) but over here in NZ/ AO, we can still do this. And we should, as a step towards protecting our own democratic system, such as it is.

It’s being recommended in the US as a way to try and restore some semblance of democracy:

  4. What NZ media isn’t saying (or aware of – they’re useless) is that Iowa is a greying state with a preponderance of retirees.
So while it sounds great that a bunch of die-hard Democrat activists have chosen Woke Bernie or Woke Pete, this is unlikely to translate into actual votes in the actual election.

    • I hope you see your error there. How could it be possible to be simultaneously woke and pro-White-middle-class at the same time? Genuinely interested in your answer 🙂

      • Policies like opening the southern border and providing free healthcare for illegal immigrants are just two of the woke policies of these two. These are obviously bad for working class Americans because they would undermine wages and destroy their health system. This has nothing to do with race, but those at the bottom of the pile suffer most: Blacks and Hispanics.
One key reason lower and middle class wages are rising in the USA at the moment is because of Trumps efforts to secure the southern border. Illegal immigrants undermine the wages of citizens, commit crime in predominantly working class suburbs and often don’t pay tax. All the polls in the US show that Blacks and Hispanics want to curb illegal immigration too. And Trump’s approval rating among these groups is ~ 42%, so just like Labour in the UK, the Democrats are losing their working class base.

An interesting aspect is that Bernie’s policies regarding illegal immigration in the 2015 Democrat primary were the same as Trump’s are today. I can only imagine why and how the Democrat Party bosses got to Bernie to change his mind over this.

  5. I’ve just watched the Newshub cover of this and the Bernie Blackout is in operation. They talked all around what happened, talked about numbers and glitches and competing groups, and then about Biden, and seemed to cheer on Buttigieg before giving him the stage, …but if you weren’t following it, you would not know that Bernie was even a candidate!

    • News Hub (media works) is technically insolvent. They’re crowing and they’ll reach for anything that can grab clicks. This is why the working group and The Daily Blog are so popular because corporate media is dying in a pool of their own bullshiting.
