GUEST BLOG: Gerard Otto – Has Angry Andrew Dickens found Jacinda yet?

Yesterday Andrew Dickens ( Newstalk ZB ) was worried sick because Jacinda had missed her ten minute chat with Mike Hosking – a mortal sin that deserved a load of fake bullshit and fist shaking revenge.

Nothing stirs ups the media hornet nest like a PM having better things to do than be abused by right wing snot balls.

Angry Andrew Dickens disguised his anger with a churlish, pathetic passive aggressive “post it note” on the Newstalk ZB website.

Dickens wrote :

“So has anyone seen the Prime Minister lately? If anyone sees Jacinda Ardern in the flesh, could you please contact authorities so we can return her to the people.”

Despite Dickens knowing Jacinda had been on holiday for four weeks, been to Davos for the World Economic Forum for a week and had been travelling on a plane for around 23 hours the day before – he was deeply angry she had gone off to her cabinet meeting and left Grant Robertson to take her place – just this once.

Leaping to punish her – he wrote :

“The suspicion is rising that Jacinda Ardern likes to be a spokesperson for a government and a figurehead for the world but when it comes down to the nitty gritty of being a leader the job is a little difficult.”

Everyone leaned forward to hear what Dickens had to say next which should have demonstrated ongoing issues that were so difficult she could not attend media sessions.

Dickens wrote :

“Chris Trotter last December noted the number of times that Jacinda Ardern seemed to be sidelined by her ministers seemingly making decisions without her knowing. Phil Twyford in particular seemed to change policies at a whim and when the Prime Minister was asked she seemed often unaware.”

A quick look at the actual number of times Chris Trotter had noted Jacinda seemed to be sidelined told the true story behind Dicken’s vague terminology.

Trotter had only observed one occasion back on 7th December on Newshub and nothing more.

That’s right – only once.

Angry Andrew Dickens forged on trying to prove that Jacidna was not up to the job by writing :

“There is also the unwillingness to discipline the miscreants. Claire Curran took an age to be told off. Meka Whaitiri. Ian Lees Galloway.”

Which just shows Dickens has bugger all to go on – because as soon as PM Ardern was advised she acted swiftly and fairly concerning all three of these cases.

Curran offended twice and was demoted and then resigned, Wahitiri was stood down while an investigation took place for two weeks and Ian Lees-Galloway was vindicated because he was given a folder missing a crucial email by immigration officials.

Dickens did not comment on how long it had taken for Simon Bridges to act on Sarah Dowie’s text, his lack of action on Judith Collin’s fake and abusive tweets, not to mention Gerry Brownlee’s vicious phone abuse of a legal secretary and then there is Maggie who remains undisciplined.

Despite National producing not even one detailed policy in 2018 Dickens bleated on about working groups and how long it was taking.

“Then there is the plethora of working groups. At first I was tolerant but now the whole thing seems to be taking an age. Other people are charged with doing the thinking rather than the government.”

Funnily enough Dickens ignored the fact reports from working groups still go to cabinet and still need to be thought about, accepted or rejected, drafted into policy and laws need to be drafted and implemented.

Instead Dickens leapt over several continents to conclude :

“There appears to be a leadership vacuum.”

What a moron!!!

This all started with Dickens being shitty because Jacinda missed her appointment with his media company and he was faking concern for her absence to swipe at her and having a big childish meltdown about it.

People lose several IQ points when they get angry – its called an amygdala hijack – and Dickens was down to his last dozen when he wrote :

“The Prime Minister we have seems happiest when selling other people’s ideas and I’m starting to wonder what her ideas are. And further to that there’s the fear that she might not have any ideas at all.”

Thankfully even if Jacinda is selling other people’s ideas at least they make sense and are not a mish-mash of unrelated, unverified suppositions and smears.

What the fuck do they pay these people because whatever it is – it is too much?

No wonder Jacinda had better things to do.
