Haumaha & Rouxle Le Roux – 2 examples of the counter checks working

Two examples of the counter checks working today.

Wally Haumaha will keep his job because putting your leg up on a chair while arguing with someone isn’t the basis for getting sacked and Rouxle Le Roux’s sentence won’t be appealed against because she showed poor taste in social media photos after a hit and run.

It’s good to see the lynch mobs don’t hold sway over process yet.

  1. I notice there’s no outcry about the Le Roux fiasco from the Sensible Sentencing Trust.
Oh that’s right – they’re too busy naming and shaming people as pedophiles when they’ve actually committed no crime at all.
    What a fucking joke.
I really hope the guy whose life they ruined takes them for everything they’ve got and some.
I heard McVicar on the radio this morning back-pedalling as fast as he could about the whole debacle and says that any claim may bankrupt him and cause the website to be shut down permanently.
    Good. Can’t come soon enough.

  2. While I agree that yes, we and the justice system shouldn’t be held to ransom by ‘lynch mobs’; the le Roux situation only goes to further accentuate the systemic racism evident in the NZ justice system.
