National Party MP Simeon Brown is a shit stain killing NZers

When he wasn’t making submissions against the Marriage Equality Act, Simeon Brown is the National Party shit stain who is currently trying to pass laws that will make Synthetic Cannabis Class A.

I’ve detailed why making Synthetic Cannabis Class A will only make things worse, and how this entire fiasco is really the fault of the politicians in the first place…

The Parliament legalised synthetics, didn’t have the courage to push through the testing regimes that would be acceptable, this created a wild west situation with no safety standards being enforced, public backlash was enormous, Parliament revoked legalisation and sent the industry underground where it is killing 50 people a year.

…but Simeon has doubled down on his shit stain status and bewilderingly attacked the Drug Foundation for trying to provide advice to stop the massive death rate that synthetics are causing…

… so let’s get this straight.

Not only is Simeon part of a group of people who forced synthetics underground are are responsible for the current spike in deaths, he is also pushing for legislation that will only make the situation far worse AND he is now slagging off the only group who are desperately trying to stop the deaths that Politicians are responsible for.

Simeon Brown has blood all over his hands.

    • 100% Martyn,

Simon Bridges is the one who is pushing rail out of service everywhere, and expanding 63 tonne road freight heavy truck use now.

So every day we here of another car driver killed under a truck Simon Bridges is killing us all as you me or a family member will be next.

      https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/107786920/Crashes-claim-three-lives-in-deadly-five-hours-on-North-Island-roads

“Police are at the scene on on State Highway 1 near Mahurangi West Rd, near Puhoi, north of Auckland where a truck and two other vehicles crashed about 10am on Friday.

Police said one person died at the scene, while three others were injured, two seriously. SH1 is closed at the scene and diversions are being put in place at Warkworth and Silverdale.”

That is why we need to take half the trucks off the roads and use rail again as we did for generations before us.

    • Oh, he’ll see it, Janio, believe me. National Party staffers scour media (including blogs) to see what mentions are being made of them.

Mr Brown will have read this by now. Hopefully it will give him food-for-thought.

      • Could you imagine Simion or one of those National MPs having to read a science report as part of a Ministers daily duties? It would just break your heart having to have them make decisions based on how will National Party MPs can read and comprehend science.

      • That’s if he’s not still standing in front of a mirror practicing facial contortions in a bid to look interested nodding techniques for question time and his embouchure. Soimon’s little cadet.

    • Martyn, I enjoy and appreciate many of your posts, but am disappointed with this one. It’s important to criticise a proposed Bill or policy that you don’t agree with. We need robust debate. However, it’s not OK to attack someone personally and label them as a “shit stain”.

The fact is that synthetic cannabis is killing people. Something needs to be done. You may disagree with the specifics of Simeon Brown’s proposal, but his intentions are good.

      • “You may disagree with the specifics of Simeon Brown’s proposal, but his intentions are good.”

What “good intentions” Renee? Throw more people in prison then build new mega-prisons costing us billions of dollars, then releasing them back into the community as hardened criminals?

Remind us what good will come of that?

  1. I suppose there is validity in unsafe synthetic drugs being put into category A (so those supplying them get dealt to), whereas the safe/safer version is not.

  2. Simeon Brown is a very conservative christian who sincerely believes he’s doing ‘God’s work’.

National have several conservatives Christians in their caucus who are determined to inflict their old testament beliefs on us.

    They are scary people.

    • If their minds are in that state of confusion and fear, then they should not in in Parliament.

Irrational behaviour associated with a disconnect from reality.

    • From what I know of God I reckon he’s quite capable of doing his own work, and in any case Simeon Brown is meant to be representing people down here on earth, not God.

From what I know of God I think a banker would be the last person he’d want representing him in a month of Sundays.

God didn’t like golden calves, and his alter ego threw the moneylenders out of the temple, which leaves me wondering who or what what Mrs Brown’s boy’s God really is.

  3. He’s used to be running around working for Manurewa ward in the council. Total little office boy beuracrat, another useless tosser like Bridges in the making.
On another topic why is the US diplomat getting airtime on radio pushing anti China proagander. US are busy funding war in Syria, Ukraine, Venezuela, pushing hard on China and Russia. We need to push our old nuclear free program, the world is moving toward potential catastrophe

  4. If this laddie who nobody has heard of really thinks that he knows more than the experts, i.e the Drug Foundation, then he needs to grow up – and quickly.

Time and again National produces seemingly callow arrogant MP’s with zilch life experience, and they nearly always come unstuck – hopefully before they can inflict too much damage. Surely there must be somebody in National who can explain the medical issues to him- and soon.

  5. Wow! I’ve never seen a short little rat in a suit before. Who, or what, voted for it? And why?? Wait? Actually? I have. A Banksey. He/She depicted a rat in a suit. The caption read “ Even if you win the race, you’re still a rat.”
What a motley crew. They look like a gang of car salespersons. And there’s maggie barry. Head cocked, a fishing boat’s mooring chain around her wattles and not a petunia in sight.
And as you battle your way through passive/aggressive traffic to your work place to do your job description to earn direct-credited ‘money’ to pay foreign banksters for your mind numbingly, bizarrely massive mortgage on your few H4 treated pine wood sticks, tin, glass, screws and hinges? Know that you’re also paying those freak show escapees in suits $ix Figure$ plus entitlements to keep you in the misery you find yourselves imprisoned within and like all prisons, you can’t get good drugs.

    • Yep, a motley crew alright. I looked hard at that photo trying to figure out how a bunch of people in cheap suits, looking like the cast from a possibly genuinely funny Brit sit-com where clients don’t return the test-drive vehicle, project such a collectively slippery aura.A shabby aura.

Two look smug, three look furtive, one looks as if he thinks the bus is actually coming, and one -maybe two- look jaw-clenched angry men, plus one last year’s Christmas decoration.

Whether the dreadful synthetic drug scenarios being played out almost daily in hospitals is an issue they’ve attempted to address rationally – or conscientiously – is a moot point.

      • Top comment for this thread @ Christine. I find the photo deeply disturbing too, thank you for articulating what it is I am reluctantly viewing here. Look no further for the need to LEGALIZE CANNABIS NOW!

  6. We need to take a step back and ask ourselves what role does any form of drugs play in society. These synthetics have become an instrument of bondage, something used by some/group to make people dependent and then use them as an atm machine to make money. We see this tendency even with prescription drugs in the US with their opioid crisis. The word bondage apply because the use of these drugs are addictive creating a state of being bound usually by compulsion where the individual cannot voluntary go without the substance. It has become the modern way of slavery. We should have no doubt that greed or money is the primary motive of the suppliers. As a community we need to decide if we want these subversive influences in our society and allow vulnerable young people being enslaved.

It is not only drugs being used in this way. We see the same behaviour with loan sharks, alcohol companies, tobacco and even computer gaming. The same can be argued that the high price of housing is bonding young generations to banks or rent for the rest of their lives, especially when you look how this was intentionally engineered with dubious policies.

We should never allow these subversive peddlers to shift the blame. The fact the people are dying is a desperate effort on their side to get either synthetics or cannabis legalized. Either forms will only undermine individual freedoms and with no advantage to society. Eventually treating the harm associated with the use of these drugs will only increase our tax burden.

  7. OMG. This just gets better…
Know your little brown shit stain.
There’s nothing quite like having to acquiesce to someone educated beyond their intelligence.

    Simeon Peter Brown.

    Wikipedia.

“Brown lives in Auckland with his wife Rebecca. Prior to entering Parliament, Brown worked as a commercial banker as a senior associate with the Bank of New Zealand. He studied at the University of Auckland, attaining a conjoint degree in law and commerce in 2015.[2] Brown actively fought for the right of official affiliation at the University of Auckland for his group ‘Prolife Auckland’ while he was president.[3]”

Pakuranga aye? Them good ol’ Pakurangan’s. Well done Pakuranga! You’re something the rest of us can all be proud of not being.

  8. Good intentions be buggered if he is so worried about people he should be trying to get them a decent wage not trying to fill up our prisons with more Maori .

  9. So some of us have been fighting for legal cannabis for decades.
We even just had an election with big promises, it was an election issue because the laws made it too hard to get and the pharma options were too expensive and what did we get? an unworkable law and pharma/commercial option but nothing finalised and the 2nd reading has stalled but as soon as National want to make synthetic drugs Class A its already up to 2nd reading stage.
This is just disgusting. If you didn’t realise how little the govt cares about the disabled you sure do now.
