Prime Minister must challenge Nauru over despicable detention of Barbara Dreaver!

‪It is disgraceful and utterly unacceptable that a journalist with the immense mana and credibility of Barbara Dreaver has been detained on Nauru!

Barbara is one of New Zealand’s leading Journalists, as a Pacific correspondent, her body of work is amongst the best in the region when it comes to holding Pacific Nations to account, it is that tenacity and focus on excellence that has had her banned and blacklisted from Fiji.

Barbara was interviewing refugees on Nauru and she had every right to explore this abomination when she was detained.

The NZ Government MUST condemn such an action publicly and immediately demand an explanation, past that however we also need to recognise that NZ and in particular the bloody Australians have dealt the people of Nauru a disgusting legacy.

NZ helped pillage their Phosphate reserves and once that had been strip mined the country collapsed. In desperation they turned to a dirty deal of being Australia’s private prison for refugees. Australia effectively run Nauru and keep it weak and broken for their own aims.

At some stage NZ needs to start a discussion about how we will grant Pacific Island States mass refugee status with global warming and sea rises likely to drown many out altogether, so while we should damn them for detaining one of our best journalists, we also need to appreciate our own role in destroying this country and how we intend to help them when climate change makes living there impossible.

  1. More shit from the Aussie Nazis lets pull no punches here, those orders come straight from the top, now we will see how much balls Jacindas got.

    • Check facts first please.

Dreaver was given permission to interview that refugee as long as it wasn’t at the camp, hence the outdoor coffee bar. Baron Wanker reneged or failed to notify his henchmen.

Yet another administrative cock-up from a two-bit island republic.
