It’s not a ‘fake’ photo, your offence is fake!

If your only defence for Trump is that this photo didn’t result in the parent being separated from the crying child, then your need to not be offended by this cruelty has overtaken basic decency – it’s not a ‘fake’ photo, your offence is fake!

Maybe there wouldn’t be so many South Americans fleeing South America in the first place if Americans weren’t so intent on causing the nightmare they’re fleeing from…

For those proclaiming this latest cruelty to cage kids by Trump will be his ending I say this

I felt that same certainty re the Feed the Kids Bill

Then watched in disbelief as NZers chorused it was parents responsibility to feed their kids

Trump voters will blame the parents

87% of Republicans support Trump, higher than Reagan or Eisenhower at this stage. Let that sink in to appreciate just how polarised things are in America – this is a cultural civil war of vengeance between the lesser and better angels of the United States.

  1. ‘Melting pot melting down’

“Across the Western world the so-called melting pot is melting down. Immigration, legal and illegal, is probably the most contentious and divisive issue energizing voters. In Italy, for example, the right and left have united on the issue. In Germany, the government may collapse. And Trump has made this his signature cause. Can the status quo be sustained?

  2. Sure Trump is an arsehole but at least what you see is what you get.
The same policies were enforced under Obama but where were the hypercritical democrats then.

The real problem however is as you illustrate above the violent, rapacious United States’s policies towards all those countries who have resources they covert or who have governmental systems they don’t approve of. i.e. they don’t bend over for Uncle Sam. The most egregious current case is Yemen where the indigenous inhabitants are under siege from the Saudi’s, UAE, USA and NATO. Lets all morn the plight of historical indigenous societies trampled upon by the horrible colonialists while we ignore the same thing happening today

    • In Obama’s time, in about 95% of cases, the children being separated were being separated from people un-related to them. The children were subsequently given to relations to look after once they were found.

  3. Whats really at question here is the economic inequity & widespread injustice that is part & parcel of our current world order; it is this that motivates some to put themselves into the hands of people traffickers (slave traders) in order to better their lot. This is a risky business but desperate people will do really desperate things too survive & improve their lives. These migrants are ultimately responsible for the choices they’ve made & the actions they’ve taken; if things do not work out as well as they’d hoped for then the blame does not lie with you, I or the US or European governments. As long as nothing radical is done too reduce such things as; global economic inequality ~ water shortages ~ poverty ~ environmental degradation ~ senseless brutality & the proliferation of failed states, this problem will only get much much worse. The wealthy few need to wake up too the fact that if they don’t share their wealth, resources & toys with the rest of the world then the impoverished, excluded & envious from both within & beyond their borders, will take what ever means necessary to come & take whatever they need to survive, improve their standard of living or realise their materialistic dreams.

  4. The United States has started meddling in the affairs of the Nicaragua again lately.

“As Nicaragua’s leftist government faces a violent right-wing insurgency, journalist Max Blumenthal discusses with TRNN’s Ben Norton how the regime change machinery bankrolled by the US government’s National Endowment for Democracy boasted of “laying the groundwork for insurrection” against President Daniel Ortega”

  5. Chris Trotter wrote an interesting piece about ‘whoever rules the heartland rules the world’…

It was interesting because it was a 19th century theory involving surrounding Russia that formed the basis of the Wests foreign policy right up to present day… and so its no surprise that the USA has been involved with 56 interventions in Latin America… because many of those nations have ties with Russia or political / economic ideology’s of a much milder socialism than the USA would like…

Then there was the historical context and the Joe McCarthy era of the 1950’s,.. the Cuban missile crisis… the USA’s involvement in South East Asia… then the wars in the Middle East…

There was the war on drugs thing,… with much contraband coming across the southern borders of the US,… and other criminal activity. The USA backed wars in central America spawned MS-13,… known for their ruthlessness. Hence that gang and others crossed the borders to not just escape from conditions in their homeland but for many others , – to expand their criminal empire in the US.

And so Trumps policy’s are symptomatic of old foreign policy. Apparently as some have said, ‘ locking children in cages’ occurred under Obama as well… but that wasn’t mentioned or highlighted because the George Soros global media backed Obama. Yet Obama was no socialist, – he was just continuing an age old foreign policy himself.

Apparently the photo in question is a fake according to some,… I am not sure. If America is polarized , it has happened before. One only has to mention Vietnam or the American Civil war or the Human Rights campaigns of the 1960’s to see that.

But one thing I’m sure of is Trump has upset the status quo establishment and they don’t like it. And for that he gets the blame even if it rains when the weather forecast says it will be sunny. There are many vested interests concerning financial , military and geo politics that want to see him removed. And I don’t just think it boils down to values , ethics or altruistic motives , either.

Just ask George Soros,… if he could ever give you an honest answer.
