I’m pleased to announce that, alongside Economic and Social Research Aotearoa (ESRA), today we launched our report Solitary Confinement in New Zealand Prisons.
The report examines the conditions of solitary in New Zealand, as well as its devastating effects on people who experience it.
It is written in mostly simple and clear language that, I hope, communicates well why it is so necessary to abolish solitary confinement once and for all.
