Direct Animal Action are taking action for rodeo animals this summer and we need you to join us.

We had a record turn out of supporters at Warkworth on NYD but we need your help again!! The rodeos not over yet.

PROTEST TWO: WHANGAREI

All placards and banners will be provided as we’re sticking to a set theme. So no need to bring anything, just yourself, some sunscreen and a hat! Maybe an umbrella. We will update on expected weather.

We ask you to arrive at the Maungatapere School carpark on Maungakahia Road, Maungatapere at 11:30am for a briefing session from our action co-ordinators.

This will be a peaceful and positive action aimed at raising awareness within the local community and keeping the national spotlight on the suffering of rodeo animals. We ask that everyone respects the vision of this action to help us minimize the likelihood of confrontation.

Rodeo can never be humane. It’s up to all of us to call on our new Government to end this cruelty. Start 2018 off by taking action for the animals, we’ll see you there!

Raumanga Scenic Reserve is a nice picnic spot and has a waterfall a few min walk away, if people fancy a swim! Please bring your own picnic food and drinks (note there is a cafe for drinks)
