  1. The New Zealand Herald yesterday showed its true colours blatantly in the “We say” column.
Statimg that National won the election but did not have the partners to go forward!!
What part of MMP does this paper not understand?
It seemed fine when National teamed up with act, United future, the Maori party.
Sort it out NZ Herald. Talk about going down hill at great speed.

  2. With the goings on, in politics, I fear we will have total warfare soon, it has already flared up in Parliament, on Kiwiblog and in other places, also the MSM (Garner et al).

The TDB must be careful, praise the government for what it does right, but do not blindly support or excuse anything they may do wrong or not well. Or else this blog may suffer.

Criticism is deserved, where it is qualified and targeted, and it must be allowed, without abuse of course.

So I hope that somehow things will work out, as I would hate to see TDB go down, with not addressing some issues that need addressing.

  3. I again read this, and think, hey, the people do NOT get it:

    https://www.theguardian.com/business/2016/jan/14/climate-change-disaster-is-biggest-threat-to-global-economy-in-2016-say-experts

We live in a democracy, I cherish democracy, I ask though, can we deal with and address the challenges due to climate change, as a result of pollution by humans, in a democratic society?

I am starting to doubt it, the turkeys never vote for an early Christmas, so I learned, the same applies to voters.

NZers, as most ‘developed’ world citizens, are used to convenience, consumerism and wasteful living, and as humans are animals of habits, it is unlikely they will change their present behaviour.

Thus I am increasingly believing, we cannot wait for democratic change, for people to ‘wake up’, we have to force the action, if need be with sabotaging the existing waste and pollute energy systems.

Force people to live off the land, they may start cherishing their existence, or otherwise, if they will not learn, let them die in their millions or billions, we simply cannot sustain what we have in populations and its behavoiour on this planet.

I stand by this, I am unapologetic, there is NO chance we as a species will survive with the present settings, all the governments tell us is BS.

Go and organise, claim lands, prepare for war and survival, and to live off basics, or prepare to damned well die, there is no other hope, to be damned honest.

  4. I will never forget, how the police at the G20 decided to beat, scare and gas the shit out of protesters at Hamburg, it shows exactly what we are up against, those who do think you can just vote for a ‘change’ government, that is looking at the headlights of the powers that be like a possum, you are dreaming:

  5. There is NO doubt, I want and expect more action than Labour so far offer, I learned from Hamburg friends about police harrassment, same here – so much BS, stand up and FIGHT, thank you, we have never been more threatened, forget the social media nonsense:

We are at threat of becoming a police state and some do not get it.
