Oh so there was Kauri being dug at location of oil pipeline leak

After original claims that Kauri poachers were involved in damaging Auckland’s oil line as ‘fake news’ MPI have admitted that there were Kauri poachers in the area…

Swamp kauri was dug from land near where fuel pipeline ruptured, MPI admits

There was swamp kauri dug from the land where the fuel pipeline ruptured says the Government agency charged with keeping track of extraction of the native timber – after it had said for two days that there had not been.

The NZ Herald contacted MPI on Monday to ask about a swamp kauri link to the “affected area”.

The query came after a source said the pipeline had been damaged by a digger and it was believed to be connected to the removal of swamp kauri.

Photographs obtained by the Herald confirmed the damage to the pipeline and showed a 20-metre kauri log close to where the pipeline was damaged.

…MPI have attempted to distract from their lie by claiming that…

“the kauri was removed before March 2011 and came from a site many hundreds of metres and a number of paddocks away from the pipeline”.

He said there were no records of more recent extractions.

Refining NZ has said that it believed the damage to the pipeline happened after 2014, which was the last time an inspection of the pipeline was carried out.

…the problem with that distraction attempt however is that was the last time the paperwork was filed, not the last time digging occurred and because National decided Council’s didn’t need to demand accountability by strict guidelines, there is no way of catching the pricks who did this.

It’s not the first time MPI have lied and helped cover Industry abuse of the environment…

MPI ‘up to their necks’ in fish-dumping scandal

The country’s biggest recreational fishing group is calling for a royal commission into the Ministry for Primary Industries’ handling of an investigation into commercial fish dumping.

No-one was prosecuted even though there was evidence the practice was widespread.

And another report reveals skippers had even admitted guilt.

There are other examples of MPI not taking action over illegal dumping.

Another report in 2009 involved the monitoring of 42 vessels. Half were allegedly dumping fish illegally and again, no action was taken.

…MPI are less interested in protecting our environment and more focused on hiding whatever Industry is damaging it.

Just another reason we need to kick this Government out.

  1. Kick them out then lock them up. Lets not let the rats scurry back to the woodpile.
I heard from a fisherman in Lyttelton that fish dumping was rife back in the mid to late 1980’s.

  2. maybe a Taniwha ( guardian of the Swamp Kauri) rose up out of the swamp to smite the Nact kauri robber diggers who were sending off precious Maori Taonga Kauri to China…?

…and looking around the Taniwha caused a little yellow digger to struck out the snake pipeline’s gizzard!

…thereby creating lots of gas and black blood

…and embarrassment for the Nact robbers

  3. MPI would have no idea when this area was dug for swamp kauri. I have been told it was 3 months ago that diggers were last there. MPI gives a milling statement over a DP not a precise area you can dig. Most swamp kauri in northland comes out of sites with no milling statement, it is then transported to a legal dig site and sold. It is called masking and MPI is well aware that it happens. How do you think all the swamp kauri gets overseas? Illegal digs and illegal exports.

  4. Judith Collins was very coy about this today.

She ked down and not at the camera and tried to avoid any responsibility bysaying “no ones dig there for kauri swamp logs since 2011.

I wouldn’t believe anything that comes out of her mouth!!!!

She looks as guilty as hell yet again.

She and her husband started the whole plan to begin digging up swamp logs does she not remember???

    Bloody criminals all.
