Evidence is being found by our NGO this morning that Radio NZ cannot cover any regional radio issues in HB/Gisborne because of a lack of staff News man Brent Edwards said to me this morning,
Our community group called the Radio NZ newsroom at 7.30 am this morning at 04 474 1999 to ask to be put in touch with the newsroom and Brent Edwards answered the phone and said he has no staff to cover this news article we sent to his news room about national Party Transport policy failures in the regions of HB/Gisborne.
What is clear is that Government have starved the funding of Radio NZ to the point that it is sadly just a shell without support staff to adequately cover serious transport community issues as we consider such as transport issues as serious issues that may hurt the current Government by showing flaws in transport planning.
A cover-up perhaps?
The starved funding is so obvious and constrains investigation. But as well as that direct political interference is also consistent with what we hear on News and who is interviewed to provide “expert’ opinion.
The political independence is now mythical.
