  1. The brave Max Keiser is planning a pilgrimage across United States with Stephen Baldwin to find out what the REAL Americans think:

“Up for discussion in this episode is ‘the silver lining’ of the shocking increase in US mortality rates – reduced pension costs for corporations, increased profits for shareholders. At least this is the upside, according to the financial press.

Max also interviews Stephen Baldwin about their plans for The Great American Pilgrimage as they cross America in an RV looking to meet the people overlooked by mainstream television media. By the end of the pilgrimage, they hope to have had a whole lot of fun and a little bit of enlightenment.”

Max continues his interview with Stephen Baldwin about plans for the Great American Pilgrimage across America in an RV, looking to meet the people overlooked by mainstream television media.”

    • You are on to it Red Buzzard.Max Kaiser on RT is a must for those concerned about a financial collapse in Western Capitalism, and ideas about what to do to survive it !

  2. Jacinda says she isn’t campaigning on the retirement age remaining at 65.

Well that leaves the door wide ajar to introduce an increase after and if they are voted into power.

Last election Labour were proposing to increase the retirement age, which didn’t go down to well with a number on the left.

And yet, we have Jacinda soaring in the polls – go figure?

    • When Labour were wanting to up the retirement age, their online cheerleaders got in behind it.

Then when Little did an about turn on increasing the retirement age, although a little confused, the majority of the cheer-leading brigade towed the Party line.

Now that Jacinda has left the door open, it will be interesting to see the cheer-leading brigade do another flip-flop.

  3. The shortcomings of Phil Twyford’s state housing policy exposed on The Nation

    http://www.newshub.co.nz/home/shows/2017/08/the-housing-debate.html

It’s interesting to note that over at The Standard, Anthony Robins has a thread titled: ‘Still no answers on housing from Nats’ – yet National (by way of Amy Adams) clearly stated (on The Nation) that they plan to build more state homes (in the short term) than Labour are currently offering.

    2000 a year, opposed to Labour’s 1000 a year.

However, there was no mention of that from Anthony Robins over at The Standard.

It seems Anthony Robins is happy to lower the bar rather than call Labour out on their shortcomings. Yet, if the left fail to challenge Labour (which can be a little difficult over at The Standard because Labour critics are often labeled trolls, hence are banned) we can’t expect Labour to up their game and produce better policy.

So while Anthony Robins wants to praise Labour for calling this a crisis, he’s overlooking that Labour’s solution vastly falls short. And unfortunately, his praise (without calling them out on their policy shortcomings) won’t encourage Labour to improve their policy.
