  1. Jenny says:

Where Syria goes, the world follows

Is this how the world ends?

As climate change and increasing inequality engulf our world, as their legitimacy ebbs away, just as in Syria, the elite and privileged rulers of other countries, (maybe even our own), will be tempted to turn to repression and genocide to maintain their control.

    Don’t support fascism.

It really shouldn’t have to be said.

    • Francesca says:

The left will be forever divided on Syria
I’m guided by what I read and writers I respect, like Robert Fisk, John Pilger, Patrick Cockburn,PeterO’borne, all old middle east hands.
When Aleppo fell, or was liberated , take your pick,by far the majority of survivors elected to go to West Aleppo, the govt controlled area
35,000 were bussed, still clutching light weapons! to Idlib, where Al Nusra dominates and has instituted a fairly harsh sharia law.
Yes they have councils and courts, but they are not democratic they are based on a fundamentalist style of sharia law(public decapitations, amputations, adultery, apostasy etc punished by beheading)
The govt along with the help of other nations are now rebuilding Aleppo
Families are returning , and the factories which were dismantled and sold to Turkey(by the so called rebels when they first came to Aleppo)are being rebuilt.

‘Major pillars of US power, including Democrats & media, want Trump out – John Pilger’

“The so-called Deep State wants President Donald Trump removed from office over fears of what a NATO rollback in Europe would do to the profit margins of the defense industry, journalist, film-maker and author, John Pilger, told RT’s Going Underground…

    Re: Wasserman Schultz

“Welcome to the Twilight Zone – it would seem this is the place where Debbie Wasserman Schultz resides, works, and even conspires. She’s at the center of a growing scandal that includes ethics violations, fraud, embezzlement, theft, lies, misrepresentation, Pakistan and gross mishandling of sensitive government documents. And guess what? None of this is being blamed on Russia!

CrossTalking with Philip Giraldi, H. A. Goodman, and Alex Newman.”

  3. Red Buzzard says:

So did the Russians hack the Democratic Party and lose Hillary the Election ? ….and is Donald Trump therefore a Russian agent?…or is this just fake news?

‘A New Report Raises Big Questions About Last Year’s DNC Hack’ —
“Former NSA experts say it wasn’t a hack at all, but a leak—an inside job by someone with access to the DNC’s system.”

By Patrick Lawrence, ‘ THE Nation’

…”In effect, the new forensic evidence considered here lands in a vacuum. We now enter a period when an official reply should be forthcoming. What the forensic people are now producing constitutes evidence, however one may view it, and it is the first scientifically derived evidence we have into any of the events in which Russia has been implicated. The investigators deserve a response, the betrayed professionals who formed VIPS as the WMD scandal unfolded in 2003 deserve it, and so do the rest of us. The cost of duplicity has rarely been so high.

I concluded each of the interviews conducted for this column by asking for a degree of confidence in the new findings. These are careful, exacting people as a matter of professional training and standards, and I got careful, exacting replies.

All those interviewed came in between 90 percent and 100 percent certain that the forensics prove out. I have already quoted Skip Folden’s answer: impossible based on the data. “The laws of physics don’t lie,” Ray McGovern volunteered at one point. “It’s QED, theorem demonstrated,” William Binney said in response to my question. “There’s no evidence out there to get me to change my mind.” When I asked Edward Loomis, a 90 percent man, about the 10 percent he held out, he replied, “I’ve looked at the work and it shows there was no Russian hack. But I didn’t do the work. That’s the 10 percent. I’m a scientist.” ”

  4. Marc says:

Damned, it took me four days to digest the last screw up by the Greens and them giving in to the damned MSM, now we get served stale bread or a farts at your first date to ‘reset’ the party for the election campaign:

Their present website, with James in front:

I am none the wiser, not excited about this, it is a disappointment, and nobody in the news clips I saw on the TV news tonight, or on the above report links seems all that excited either.

‘Love New Zealand’, stale and meaning little of substance, vague, fluffy duffy airy stuff, that is the last thing we needed.

James Shaw certainly proved he is a decent sort as he solidly supported Metiria until the last moment when she resigned, and after, but he looks a bit like Mr Bean having lost some clues.

His interview with Paddy Gower also raised questions, why face the reaper when you do not need to deal with such death merchants?

What New Zealanders at the bottom, and those who want REAL change, do deserve and need, is less of this BS begging to the media, and rather a full scale assault on the establishment, nothing short of political and real attack action, not subservience.

Are they masochists, or insane, trying the same approach again and again, to fall into the same trap, and set themselves up to fail?

If we want change and progress, change the fucking system, it makes people sick and angry, change the damned system, and attack the establishment, even the entitlement seeking middle class, all else is just totally ridiculous.

  5. Marc says:

Saw this also on The Standard, it is a fuck up, sorry, a dry fuck up:

If you want to win votes and keep your ten or more percent, this is NOT it, this is a total failure, to be totally honest, a total let down for the talent that signed up with the Greens, James, as much as you stood up for Metiria and are honest, you are NOT the capable and right leader to bring the change that is needed. Go back to accounting or the corporate world, thanks.

  6. Marc says:

Remember WTO and police harassment in Seattle:

  7. Marc says:

OOh so bad and ‘angry’ but do you rather put up with all the SHIT, and think you can sit down with Monsanto, Google et al and ‘negotiate’ a ‘fair’ tax regime, or an ‘equal employment agreement’, perhaps??

Anarchism is not always pleasant, but some set signals:

So here in Hamburg they went and took action:

    Perhaps understand:

I do not approve all of that, but we have a sleepy, drummed and dumbed down populace, that signs up to anything, do they not deserve to be rocked and rolled, same as their self serving shit masters? NO apology from me for posting the above, thanks, I am NOT a WANKER.

  8. Marc says:

Remember G20 protests in Hamburg, most resolute:

Freedom and democracy for consumerists and dumbed down still exists, so little of substance is reported by MSM, hence the usual crap ‘election results’, all over the western ‘democaricies’.

  9. Marc says:

This would be the scene in Remuera Road, had this happened here, just a thought:

  10. Marc says:

Not nice, do not know what to say:

  11. Marc says:

Watch the violent attack, from the air, red flags driving protestors off forcefully. by the cops:

  12. Marc says:

The biased reporting there and everywhere:

Bottles flying and bengalies I hear, what a functionin g democracy this is. F BS

  13. Marc says:

El pueblo unido jamas sera vencido:

  14. Marc says:

Yes, they smasched ATMs, good on them, these rob us ATMS

  15. Marc says:

I telL you this is crazy, but I am sick of Hamburg being abused, but then again we can work together, I hope
