The entire topic of tax cuts is a propaganda piece for wealthy right wing voters to clap or jeer. To the poor it is as abstract as being preached to about the “benefits of the ‘free market'” – means literally nothing.

Yes and on ‘the panel’on the A.M Show this morning there was saying that Labour’s plan was only .6 of a billion dollars cheaper than Nationals so there wasn’t a lot in it.
Oh really? …,can you imagine the outcry if the figures were the other way around and Labour’s policy was more expensive….these guys just talk any old rubbish that comes into their head…he had the sucked lemon face on when Verity Johnson said that she actually liked Labour’s idea…a woman with a bit if substance and not afraid to speak out…

There is absolutely no balance in MSM and no real investigative journalism, the reason so many get their news elsewhere. Paddy has always been an apologist for the Nats!

Labour’s offer is simply a continuation of corporate welfare and, just as they did last time, offers tremendously little for single people.
As usual, nothing much to address the grim fact that the basic bills – rents/rates, power, water, food, transport and health care’ – keep rising at rates far beyond the average increases in incomes. Year on year – while many people haven’t had enough income improvement to even stand still.
Stop flinging money, Labour. Deal with the structural mess of your own, and National’s making. Neither party should be topping up rents or family incomes. Neither should any of you be ignoring the non-family people who also need homes and heating and food.
It looks such an ‘easy answer’. But you’re in a hole and digging a dead end. I wish you knew enough to stop.
PS No. We don’t need any more stop-gap measures. We need to turn the heat up and keep it on until they modernise this country and its systems of services beyond barely enough. Until our enterprises can pay both their way and their people at a fair rate.
Yes, western civilization IS about to end. But not just yet. It will take until around 2020 for the energy predicament to reach a critical phase, and will probably take until around 2025 for the environmental predicament to reach a critical phase.
Whether the corrupt state of the political system will be enough to bring it all down before 2020 is still debatable.
And anything Paddy Gower says is entirely irrelevant and therefore not worth noting, of course.
