When bastard spawn of marketing & lite news like The Project can grow a spine, you know National are in trouble

Last night, the bastard spawn of marketing & lite news, the Project, managed for 2 minutes to grow a spine.

It’s nice to see the impact that Banter on Duke has created by forcing The Project to actually start talking about something of significance.

Watching Jesse stumble across a script that demanded more respect from the long suffering comedians who must write this dross week nightly is painful but at least it’s something.

If you are stupid enough to source your current affairs from The Project or Seven Sharp, this monologue will be deeply challenging, and that’s a small victory in a broadcasting landscape as utterly devoid of intelligent discussion as NZs.

If Bill English is losing diet hipster media vehicles like The Project, National should start becoming worried.

  1. Jesse has been giving the government a hard time for under-funding DoC to his credit

  2. YEP I agree the MSSM seem to be finally growing balls!!!!
Long live freedom of the press to speak up on current affairs/politico.

  3. TBH I think it’s just because he’s hot to trot for the Greens, he seems to dislike Labour more than he dislikes National. He doesn’t care about the poor, he cares about the Greens, and the truth of it is to be found on how he greeted Andrew Little’s arguments for reducing immigration.

Essentially his stance was “What about muh immigrants being more welcome than those working class kiwis I shed muh crocodile tears for, you waaacist Andrew Little?”
