Q+A Review

Panel is Matt McCarten who announces he’s starting a new Campaign For Change movement, Jennifer Curtin and Fran O’Sullivan.

Lockwood Smith is on bewildered by the UK election result.

He misses the power of Corbyn. Of course.

Interesting interview with Gareth Morgan. He is written off by the panelists but I think that misses just how weak National are with 45+ educated male voters. I think Gareth Morgan taps into a deep reservoir of frustration at the injustice of NZ society from that voter block and they will vote TOP.

Winnie Byanyima from Oxfam is incredible. Her analysis of global capitalism is sharp and insightful and a reminder that our democracy interacts with a planet deeply damaged by neoliberalism.

Expanded panel includes John Campbell and Nigel Latta promoting their new show. Very intelligent debate. Matt announces his new role as launching Campaign for Change that will target the missing million voters in NZ to gain a progressive political voice in Parliament.
