A lovers’ February – Valentines, Pride and Magic!
We’re looking forward to three special nights this February – join us for one or the trifecta!
First up it’s the fabulous Harry Seth, bringing his close-up magic to tables for baffling between course treats next Wednesday Feb 8. Adults and kids are giving great feedback on Harry’s quiet charm and clever tricks. Come for dinner and be entertained – there is no extra charge. Book here.
Then lovers (and gooseberries) are invited for Valentines Day with tables set for two (or your group) and featuring our full menu plus the option of a seafood platter for two featuring all the favourites. Book in soon.
And while we are on the subject of love, there’s a Pride Festival event at Ika on Wednesday 22 February – Outspoken: The Digital Rainbow. Once upon a time there was no Internet, no smartphones and no Grindr! LGBTIQ people had to come together in social spaces like bars, clubs, parties and cruising joints. Presented in association with GayNZ.com, this panel discussion will explore the effect of technology on the way LGBTIQ people interact as individuals and as a community. Join panelists, Anne Speir, Michael Stevens, Sarah Lambourne, Joe Rich, Jacquie Grant and MC Steven Oates.
