Now NZ has shown courage against Israel at the UN, will the NZ Herald give Malcolm Evans his job back?

Evans is the best NZ political cartoonist since David Low and his sacking from the NZ Herald for this cartoon in 2003 remains one of the worst censorship scandals we’ve ever had…

…the NZ Press Council supported his sacking and supported the decision to block any letters to the editor that criticised the sacking, yet the NZ Press Council had no problems ten years later defending the racism of Al Nisbet’s infamously racist cartoons in 2013.

We can’t trust the gutless, toothless and self interested NZ Press Council for ethics in Journalism, but seeing as we as a National have surprisingly stood against Israeli aggression at the UN, don’t we owe it to the activists who have fought against Apartheid Israel and who have suffered for that stance the chance to have injustices to them wiped clean?

  1. Just who are the press council members who were responsible for the sacking of a satirical cartoonist.

The roots of Zion run deep in press and business in NZ. Some better transparency is important for public good.

Zionist dictate to and control much of the international press and plainly want to censor out local thoughts.

They do not deserve protection from a revolt against their actions and
powerful influences both politically and financially.

  2. I have not brought a New Zealand Herald since that day. Did read other peoples but today don’t even bother doing that! It doesn’t even deserve being called a rag!

  3. Wonderfully said…

…”the NZ Press Council supported his sacking and supported the decision to block any letters to the editor that criticised the sacking”, the press council is nothing more than an press owners club, set up to ensure that the corp overseas owners can pretend to have regard for public opinion… Al Nisbet’s racist cartoon simply put down Maori and Islanders and the poor, something that seems acceptable by corp Media…where as Malcolm told the truth about Israel and the money boys forced him out of the MSM. It proves their lack of guts, journalism died that day…and the overseas owned and controlled Herald should hang its head in shame.

  4. And to think RNZ continues to have Gavin Ellis who ended Malcolms’ contract and pontificating about press and academic freedom. Sickening. RNZ should employ someone untainted by such hypocrisy.

  5. Fair enough! Except it’s not just Apartheid, which is segregation, is it? Its Genocide. They want to wipe out the Palestinians completely. Good cartoon though. And that’s why the Israelis will never have freedom in their own land. Because they are creating new raw Karma every day they persecute and steal land from the Palestinians.

  6. Back to form.
Seems we just did what the US told us to.
    Again.
We’ll crawl backwards to Jerusalem after Trump takes power.

  7. Because Malcolm has an astute political mind, able to see what’s there, not scared of holding back the truth, the status quo via NZH, felt threatened for fear of repercussions from Jewish/Israel controlled financiers. The result … sack Malcolm.

    An affront to media integrity.

Keep the truth coming Malcolm. Rattle the establishment. The people need you.

  8. Get familiar with why the UN are not our friends. No peace has come from any UN involvement. Please stop giving them the attention they do not deserve and why we here in NZ are foolish to continue our association with them.
Look at what happened to Gaddafi and many others when they addressed the UN ?
