Dear John Key and Peter Dunne.
You let Helen Kelly die as a criminal. You let Paul Holmes die as a criminal. You let Martin Crow die as a criminal.
All so you could refuse to take cannabis reform seriously.
Now America itself, the home of the war on drugs, has voted in landslides to either legalise recreational cannabis or medicinal cannabis, it’s time for you both to get off your arses and reform legislation here in NZ.
Gareth Morgan’s Party will have cannabis reform as a main policy plank, so you either act now or get crushed by him in 2017.
Your incompetence and weak response to real reform will no longer be tolerated by the voting public.

yes your right Martyn even Acts Don Brash said we are wasting too much money on policing marijuana our polices are not working but we continue to do the same over and over again have we not learnt. Brash said NZ Police spend something like 14-15 million a year. I glad Gareth has said he will stand.
+100…totally agree with this POST
..and it is criminal to let people live and die in pain when they could have medicinal cannabis
John Key and Peter Dunne are so out of touch with the people that it is beyond funny at this point. Their days are numbered because they do not stand by ; represent nor support the peoples will. They both are shocked today over the Trump election results.
NZ will shock them at the next election as well. Winston was brilliant in parliament today and he was right as usual yet the Natz
continue to ridicule and disrespect him and no doubt at their own peril. They are out of touch and Winston is not.
Full Marijuana legalization – both recreational and medicinal was yesterday voted in by :
CALIFORNIA; MAINE ; NEVADA ; ARIZONA and MASSACHUSETTS.
Many other states voted in a version of medicinal legalization.
Time to retire politicians who are wasting our tax payer monies and who do not represent the best intentions and the good will of all the people.
Apparently Arizona voted down legalization this time, thanks to a multi-million dollar campaign to keep it illegal:
“The measure drew donations from local businesses and out-of-state magnates such as casino owner Sheldon Adelson, who contributed $500,000.”

Oh the irony.
Nevada has cheap property as well 🙂
Martyn, I think you are onto something here. We need to up the momentum on the “CROOKED Key title. It has worked for Trump and we know that Key deleted his texts between himself, Eade and Slater. Crooked Key should also be forced to release the Teapot Tapes so all N.Z’s can truly understand how Crooked Key really is.
As the Americans rallied against the “Establishment” it is time for Crooked Key to feel the same wrath.
Well said Bert.
Shonky and Donkey doesn’t cut it. Crooked Key and his croney pals with over 400 lies is a way better epithet or sobriquet for him and his dodgy cabal.
Helen Kelly never formally requested to be allowed to take medicinal cannabis. Peter Dunne has stated that he was in communication with her Doctor on the subject yet no request was made.
Citation, Gosman???
Got anything to back that up, goosey?
Goose. Your delusional
Samwise, i think you paralysed him with a bit of truth and critical thinking
From the tvnz.co.nz website ”
The former Council of Trade Unions president is dying of cancer and had sought permission through her doctor to import and use Bloom Farmers Highlighter Sativa and Indica cannabis oil inhalers.
In a letter to Ms Kelly, the Ministry says it’s assessed the application but “considered it to contain insufficient information to enable a decision to be reached”.
It then says that the Associate Minister of Health Peter Dunne was briefed and a “Ministerial decision was made to defer the application”.”
Your assertion “never formally requested” appears to be incorrect.
Clever Gosman. Helen Kelly is sadly not here to repudiate your comment.
“Peter Dunne has stated” So where did he state and when?
Gosman, liar.

Peter Dunn didn’t care about the legal selling of synthetic drugs @ our Naenae shopping centre less than 2 metres away from our childrens playground. Then he had a bloody cheek to say on national television that he doesn’t particularly like this area really! we don’t particularly like him either he is old and outdated but the people of the Ohariu electorate keep voting this dinosaur in when he should be well and truly done.
