The long anticipated documentary, THE 5TH EYE, that follows the story of the Waihopai Three and the GCSB premieres this month at the New Zealand International Film Festival.
I was horrified when NZers flocked to the polls in 2014 to re-elect John Key. After the appalling dirty politics saga and the evident lies about mass surveillance, I was certain NZers would recoil from such abuses of political power.
They didn’t.
They ended up loving John Key even more.
In the good old days of Helen Clark, her signing a painting she didn’t paint, speeding in a car and water saving shower heads and power saving lightbulbs were political scandal. Apparently lying to the nation about mass surveillance powers, ramming them through Parliament under urgency and having the SIS smear the leader of the opposition months before an election are just politics as usual if you are a National Party Prime Minister.
The freakish thing about the entire mass surveillance lies and the manner in which the mainstream media torched Kim Dotcom rather than actually look at what was exposed is that if it had been Helen Clark caught out doing what Key has done, the country would be in full scale revolt.
NZers have allowed Key to get away with abuses of power that no other leader in NZs history has been allowed to.
There are still huge questions over what our state agencies are really doing with mass surveillance and documentaries like this one are a crucial way to try and inform the people to demand answers.

THE LAST NZ ELECTION WAS RIGGED.
QUESTION to Electoral Commission – 3/ If a ballot paper was altered how can you confirm if it was or not?
Electoral Commission- answer – Because it is a secret ballot it is not possible for either the Commission or the voter to prove one way or the other. The Act does not provide a process by which a voter can request to see their voting paper after it has been placed in a ballot box. That is why the Act contains a range of processes to ensure security of the ballot box and that scrutinisers can be present throughout voting and the preliminary and official count process to watch ballot boxes, the count and the recording and reporting of votes.
We will always believe we were hoodwinked and that the last election was rigged also, as I have now seen how easy it was to falsify a win because NZ Electoral Commission have written to me and confessed/admitted in an email that the Electoral Commission have no way to check if any ballot’s at any stage of the process was actually changed.!!!!!!!!!!
It was all because they are bound by an act of Parliament made several years ago that all voting is made secret, so they say they cannot confirm if any ballots were changed due to their inability to place our details on the voting ballot and they now must all be left secret.
Then they input the vote into a master file electronically and thwe changes we say are then made using algorithm’s & source codes to alter the results for their own purposes!!!!
So we need to demand at every stage of the election all non political scrutinisers be heavily screened before overseeing the voting at the
polling booths, then any transfers of hand counted results be sent by registered mail NOT by ANY electronic calls AND NOT BY computer/website TALLYS.
The hand counted ballots should then be re counted by new counters and if the results vary more the 1 or 2 per cent a third recount must be carried out.
I was fortunate to attend to NZIFF premiere screening of The 5th Eye.
The cinema was packed, every seat taken.
Being in the company of Abi King-Jones, Errol Wright, Adrian Leason, Nicky Hager, Valerie Morse and too many others to mention to view this movie was such a fantastic experience.
It was also entirely appropriate and fitting that the after event was hosted by the Sisters of Compassion soup kitchen, with an open invitation to all those who attended the screening.
The 5th Eye is most definitely, in my opinion, the best New Zealand movie ever.
The 5th Eye demonstrates with great skill, and without any doubt, that the real superheroes amongst us don’t wear tights, capes, and masks.
Every New Zealander should make an effort to see The 5th Eye.
…preferably before the next General Elections.
I can’t wait for an opportunity to see this movie again. I’m still buzzing, and the screening was four days ago.

Bush in the case of the Florida vote where the private company that ran the voting machinery was linked to the Bush Dynasty.
After a court case ruled over by a politically appointed judge laid down verdict favourable to Bush, all evidence was ordered to be destroyed hence no redress was possible.
Key has spoken in favour of digital voting.
The corporate that will be anointed with that task will have a conflict of interest from the outset – that may bind them even if they were initially honest and transparent.
But of course for “security reasons” the process and software will never be transparent and certainly will not be open source which would be the only transparent platform.
