The man that said he “was going to change the way they do business in Washington”!!!
So he sure changed the way for the worse!
MALCOLM HERE’S ANOTHER SCETCH YOU CAN MAKE READY FOR THE ELECTION?
Nactional paper hangers furiously pasting over the huge cracks of the housing bubble about to burst!!!!!
This would make a good political cartoon sketch for the next election????
It’s true that the US has seriously blundered in its approach to the Islamic world. However, I think it’s very simplistic to say that IS and their ilk are purely the result of US policies and actions, or that all tensions in the region are of western making. The tensions are long- standing and have shown up in the still-born ‘arab spring’. There is a much more long-term process at work here – basically the conflict between religious absolutism and secularism. The absolutists feel very threatened, insecure and outraged by any challenge to their culture. The same clash of values scarred the ‘Christian’ world in Europe for centuries, from the reformation right through to the enlightenment. It has involved disastrous religious wars, persecutions, pogroms, burning of heretics, and the like; in fact it’s not fully over yet, witness the anti-evolution movement and attacks on abortion clinics in the USA. The only difference is that the backward-looking fanatics in IS etc. have access to AK47s and modern explosives instead of muskets and cannons. Watch this space- it will go on for many years yet even if the west stays out of the region.
So right, Malcolm. Here’s the text: https://newsununity.com/2016/07/04/imperialism-obama-style-800-military-bases-around-the-world/#more-5588
