Hoots is in full meltdown. listen to how frightened he sounds…

…now, it’s all a bit rich for Hoots to take the high ground here, he handed Nicky Hager’s address over for Cathy Odgers who was helping build these foreign trusts in the hope Hager would be assassinated…

…so Hoots sounds a wee bit frightened doesn’t he?

This week is looking very difficult for John Key and his right wing rich mates. Mass surveillance lies didn’t wake sleepy hobbits up. Dirty Politics didn’t wake sleepy hobbits up. Looks like Key building Tax Havens and getting caught might just wake them up.

I wonder who had the skills to hack and desire for vengeance against Key?

I’ve always believed that vengeance is a dish best served 18months into the election cycle.

  1. Who knows if these latest revelations will make a dent in the polls for National. It will first have to be widely reported. And didn’t mr oil himself once say “death by a thousand cuts”. So far most of the media coverage on tv has been mr key speaking in his usual relaxed and patronising style, nothing to see here, all good mate

  2. Don’t get your hopes up, Martyn. New Zealanders are notoriously uninformed and complacent, and living conditions for most are rather comfortable at the moment.

Only when the standard of living falls drastically for most people will there be much of an awakening. That’s coming, but not for a while.

  3. Hooton is sounding pretty agitated now. Obviously getting a bit of a sweat up there. Does that imply he could be implicated in some way?

    We enthusiastically wait …

  4. The tweets between Hooton and his cronies are risable. Since when was Hooton ever concerned about Hager’s safety when he released his address so Chinese gangsters could find out where he lived??

It’s only through good fortune no harm ever came to Nicky Hager or Hooton would have some seriously explaining to do for his complicity in any attack on the author.

As for Hooton’s criticism of the release of the Panama Papers, so I can take it that Hooton supports tax evasion/avoidance and tax havens?

      • Not “illegal”, Gosman?

So why hide them behind secret trusts?

Nothing to hide, nothing to fear, as one of your previous ACT leaders once told us…

        • Only in gooses gormless head is tax evasion legal.

GOSMAN! You must be neck deep in this tax fraud if you take a position like yours.

I will look for you in the court dockets

  5. What does this mean, “The leaks he (NH) is involved with involve tens of thousands of rich Chinese” and then goes on about the Cook Island tax havens? Am I missing something? Was NH investigating crooked tax deals linked to NZ? Is that why the cops took away all his computers for a year? How scared are the local enablers/collabarators of this all coming out on May 10th?

  6. Keys dosnt want to solve this tax haven thing because he employees industry fraudsters to fix the problem. Get rid of Key is the only way to fix tax fraud

  7. How many TRILLION are estimated to be hidden away in these tax havens?

Did I read around twenty trillion?

More than the USA ‘s total economy. Or thereabouts. Twenty trillion. Enough to provide health, welfare, aid programs and lift the developing world along with the affluent country’s of the west failing economy’s.

And here we have a small fish way down here in the south pacific like Hooten starting to sweat.

The enormity of the mans ego is priceless. As will be the fall out on the operators here in NZ who obliquely – and in many cases directly , it seems – enabled this global Tower of Babel.

Once the electronic footprints come banging on certain individuals doors in this neck of the woods … the scrabbling for position and acrimonious finger pointing will become palpable.

  8. I can see a lot of cheats, thieves and liars sweating….

The polls lie so the best thing is to ignore them. It looks like (at least internationally) people now can see through the Crosby Textor campaigns – they don’t seem to be getting their .1% candidates elected anymore….

Maybe Hooton and PR people should start to think of their futures when the Natz are out of power and how many people they have screwed….

We all know their puppet masters will throw them under the bus..

Look at Key and Whitney…. not my fault says Key….

  9. John Key has made a lot of personal enemies over the years, no matter that the masses who don’t actually know him love him. I’m wondering if this hacker has a personal gripe with him.

    • Well…its not really different to Hitler of the 1930’s…. the people who didn’t know him and saw him from afar were the same… all it took was a mystique created by taking over the national media and an appeal to their sense of loss as a nation and financially to sway them…

Voila !… instant savior and answer to their problems of violence in the streets and economic oblivion.

      The rest was history.

  10. A reminder about what the ‘Panama Papers’ are about:

‘Panama Papers whistleblower speaks out on income inequality & corruption’

    https://www.rt.com/news/342153-panama-papers-whistleblower-leak/

…”John Doe accuses Mossack Fonseca of using “its influence to write and bend laws worldwide to favour the interests of criminals over a period of decades,” alleging that it “actually did knowingly violate myriad laws worldwide, repeatedly.” He maintains “publicly they plead ignorance, but the documents show detailed knowledge and deliberate wrongdoing.”

The source denies being a spy or working for any government, explaining that he decided to share the information because he “understood enough about their contents to realize the scale of the injustices they described.”…

“The source says that although the ICIJ and media publications have refused to share the documents with law enforcement, he is willing to do so…

“Doe discusses the failures that contributed to the system of corruption in which the Papers were born. Banks, financial regulators, tax authorities, legal systems and governments have all failed. Decisions have been made “that have spared the wealthy while focusing instead on reigning in middle and low income citizens.

…The manifesto reveals the “sad truth” that the most “prominent and capable” media organizations looked at the documents before the leak was made public and chose not to run with them, despite “explicit claims to the contrary.”

The revelation is likely to embarrass networks that are no doubt covering the leak now.

Perhaps most surprising was the claim that WikiLeaks didn’t respond to contact made by the whistleblower.”

  11. All this discussion about National setting up some sort of tax haven here. I don’t think National has made any substantive changes to the tax regime for overseas controlled trusts at all.

  12. GOOSEMAN.

IF YOU CAN THINK CLEARLY WHY DO WE ALLOW foreigners TO SETUP TRUSTS HERE AND PAY ZERO TAX WHILE FLOUDERING CASH STRAPPED KIWIRAIL AND OTHER SOE’S PAY PLENTY OF TAX AND AN 8% PREMIUM RETURN PAID TO GOVERNMENT ON THAT MONEY INVESTED WHILE THEY STRUGGLE TO SURVIVE, SO THIS SET-UP IS EFFECTIVELY CRIPPLING THEM AT THE SAME TIME!!!!!!!!

PRIVACY COMMISIONER JOHN EDWARDS CONFIRMS HIS MORNING ON RNZ NATIONAL HE HAS PROBLEMS WITH OUR NZ COMPANIES MUST COMPLY WITH TAX LAWS AND BE TRANSPARENT BUT FORIENERS SETTING UP HERE ARE NOT BEING GIVEN SAME COMPIANCE RULES MAKING US VENERABLE WITH UNEVEN PLAYING FIELDS DO YOIU NOW UNDERSTAND THIS?????????

  13. Despite his calculated arrogant smugness Hooton is actually smartahhhhhh than the average bearrrrrrr.
He actually knows that his spin is rubbish, but he has to keep on saying it anyway to save face and keep faith with the political right.
Most of his contemporaries believe the spin they spout out.
