Shit just got real if you are throwing your lawyer under a bus – Key shoots his money man live on Radio

Shit just got real if you are throwing your lawyer under a bus as Key did this morning on Radio NZ.

Key buried his own lawyer so far down, Ken Whitney’s forgotten what sunlight means.

Shredding his own lawyers reputation doesn’t come cheap. Key has obviously had explained the ramifications of being seen to have gone soft on cracking down on Tax Havens after his own personal Trust Lawyer used his name to get the Minister to eventually cave in and not order a crackdown.

The perception of corruption alone is crucifyingly damaging in of itself, let alone any actual conflict of interest. Kiwi’s may not get mass surveillance and the twists and turns of Dirty Politics, but their conservatism detects a crook when they see it.

Thanks to David Farrar’s polling expertise last time, Key knew exactly when to cut loose Judith Collins in the middle of the Dirty Politics tempest, Key’s decision to knife his own lawyer on live National radio suggests Mr Farrar was up very late last night briefing the Prime Minister on his latest polling over the weekend.

The Great White Shark dead eyed ruthlessness of a Prime Minister trapped is a thing to behold.

  1. What’s the saying Martyn,

“If you play with fire, you get burned”?

If you pay with this monster Key he will viciously burn you if you welch on him or say things that may “embarrass him”.

Key is every bit as toxic & vicious as Joyce has been demonstrated as being.

He wont go quietly this ruler as he promised when he said in 2010/11, – “I will leave if things get negative in NZ”

We need Opposition to place him under a Royal Commission investigation as to his lies before over his Tranzrail investments he denied then in 2008 and now how his real role with all these secret trust companies and organisations affect our parliamentary roles of ministers, and again his shady with holding of using tax paid representation when he attended the highly secretive Bilderberg meeting which he has attended without telling NZ while he was representing NZ as “John Key PM of NZ” in 2011/12 page four?

    • John Key (2011-2012), Prime Minister of New Zealand

C:\Users\Ken\John Key must explain why he lied over Tranz Rail Scoop News.mht

  2. Well he was named the smiling assassin once upon a time, but I have to admit I like the “Great White Shark dead eyed ruthlessness” – pretty good there Martyn. God the man is something isn’t he, he can’t have a friend in the world who trusts him. How he sleeps at night I cannot imagine. If you live by the sword then you must expect to meet the sword one day – it will be a mighty time when it happens and let us hope he falls a great distance. He is toxic.

  3. So Key tells lawyer to take the heat for this one and in exchange Key will keep NZ tax haven alive. Or something like that….

    • every one takes the heat from Key, so he can keep smiling and being “relaxed”, I would be more relaxed if I had no responsibility for anything, and could swap hats when ever it suited me.
      Whataguy….

  4. He’s quality is our PM is he not? Thrown under a bus, train, used as a life raft, you name it he’s been shit on from a great height. . Last week this lawyer was ethical and from what Key would have us believe butter would not melt in his mouth. As said in the Dom Post a fog descends when this kind of thing happens around Key, as it does so often nowadays!

  5. If it looks like the “mafia”, it must be the “mafia”, I suppose, and once a “loyal friend” may be buried the next day, that is not surprising, I am surprised some here are surprised.

And like the old mafiosi, Mr Key is not shy to use similar methods, as the world he has long traveled and lived in is full of characters that some of us would describe as just that, “gangsters” and “banksters”, there to get what they can, with whatever means, even over other people’s real or virtual “dead bodies”.

He was just no longer useful and convenient anymore, that lawyer, after the recent revelations.

The same was once, temporarily, done with Judith Collins and with Cam Slater.

Who will be next, I would ask, as the man at the top will make sure he stays firmly in control.

As for Mr Farrar, his fangs reach very far indeed, he has not only useful polling networks, he knows many other networks, that is influential persons.

I noted with interest, doing regular Google and BING online researching, how so much sensitive information about what the government has done, what potentially damaging reports and revelations about key persons the government uses or works with, has over the time suddenly VANISHED from cyberspace, as if it was never there.

Websites have been changed, links deactivated, sensitive contents has been deleted or moved to less public and visible places.

It includes much about welfare reform, about housing and other policy areas that it may have related to.

It is not just the extra powers for GCSB and SIS and Police that are a worry, it is the behind the scenes active censorship and self censorship that is occurring, that is perhaps an even greater worry, but it is hard for most to detect, as they simply do not research and do not follow such stuff.

    • 1000% Mike in Auckland.

I have noticed the same thing too.

the subtle omission’s additions to wording is staggering we should make a TDB recording base of every change we come across.

So when the Government is thrown out next year we must have the records base returned to the former format.

  6. Key makes art out of lies, and someone’s going to end it all one day when he has outlived his usefulness and that day ids fast approaching.

Today he’s busy officiating French official’s while lobbying for Helen Clark’s UN top job, he’s trying to curry more favour but we don’t buy it any more you crook.

  7. Just proves how caustic FJK is, when he’s held up for scrutiny.

What’s the saying “who needs enemies, when you have friends like this (FJK)?”

  8. Remember in 2008, Helen Clark said “This election is all about trust”? Seems like National voters forgot.

  9. Key is a ruthless pragmatist, and there’s no one he won’t sacrifice on the altar of his own ambition. He must continue to reign supreme. Anything less is unacceptable. I wouldn’t want to share a beer with a man who very likely has dosed it with strychnine.

  10. Many Kiwis are trusting slow learners, so it didn’t surprise me in the beginning that so many trusted the obvious conman FJK. What really worries me is how many still love the guy, so many years later. There aren’t that many people making unearned millions from Auckland property, so what the hell is wrong with us?

  11. Still the most popular PM ever in NZ History, a lot of people still love him out there after all he saved us from the GFC.

  12. Parliament resumes today, so let’s hope Opposition parties keep up their joint attack on FJK about this and other closely related issues, tax havens, foreign trusts etc!

9 May fast approaching, although given the time difference, that will be 10 May here. Be interesting how msm handle it or not!

  13. A visitor to my home answered my phone. a pollster ask lots of questions, all favourable to Key all set up to put him in a good light . The visitor a family member was on phone for half an hour.
So expect another poll soon , National supporters like my visitor who has always voted National wont admit Key does anything wrong, will never himself admit to being wrong.A very negative type .
Key is a criminal and should be treated as one, but oposition in nz wont hold his feet to the fire.Maybe someone should invite Keys lawyer to tell his side of it, because his career might be over. expect hes been paid a heap of money to take one for Key.

  14. I am curious to know why Whitney de-registered himself earlier in the year.

Why would a lawyer do that? So that he couldn’t be investigated and struck off perhaps.

  15. If Ken Whitney is as clueless as Key is suggesting, I’d be worried to have my $55 million invested and ‘safe-guarded’ by him. If Whitney is as useless as Key thinks he is, I’m thing the guy invested Key’s millions somewhere in Nigeria, with the assistance of an ex-colonel Abibo.

It’s astonishing that Key never, ever takes responsibility for his fuck-ups. It’s always someone elses’ fault. Did he learn this of his kids or something??

    • So you’re saying that if you were allegedly thrown under the bus, by Mr Key, you think, Mr Whitney would spill the beans on the PM and tell all on the blogs here?

My party and I don’t think so. Ken Whitney, will never need a lawyer’s licence, nor need to be a “trust advisor”

“Nothing to see here, move on”. The PM is above reproach, so don’t try and muddy the waters around the most popular PM in decades.

  16. As we keep hearing and reading FJK’s version of events, I think it’s about time his lawyer gave his account now, for balance.

  17. IRD, trusts, tax havens, are now not used in the same sentence of history, as reported by John Key’s grasp of created history. He was reported to by IRD about changing the rules for trust, but they had to much work, and that their would be no return to NZ taxes, added after because thats not what IRD asked. He said not aware of no changes, so he knew their was none.
The lawyer was likely listening to Party gossip about the trusts, and got worried something was happening.

    • The PM on TV One tonight Mr Key said of Ken Whitney, Key’s lawyer,
“I have complete faith in him (Ken Whitney) and ‘in my dealings with him he has been highly ethical’.

‘I’ve known him (KW) for a long period of time and sometimes lawyers do get criticized and in this particular case, I have complete confidence in him”

We’ve had lots of photos of the PM with various other trustworthy people (like Mike Sabin, Paddy Gower and Aaron Gilmore). Where are the photos of John Key and Mike Whitney?

  18. He needs a good news story to take Kiwis’ attention from Key’s dodgy trust and tax stuff.

Expect either Keytruda to be added to Pharmac’s list, or Medical Marijuana to be legalised. On second thoughts, it’ll be Keytruda.

The tame media only wants click-bait good news, not to have to delve too deeply into the PM unless, like John Campbell and Ken Whitney, they end up under the ‘The Great White Shark dead eyed ruthlessness of a Prime Minister’s bus.

    • Jeez Winnie – you should have date-stamped your previous comment, and bet on it like someone betting on Leicester to win the EPL at 5000-1!

You could have made millions and I’m sure you’re the sort of elderly socialist-minded lady, who would donate that to worthy causes.

Key, Farrar, Crosby and Textor seem to be very predictable in their ways to try and make the PM more teflon-coated. Still, there have been many ways in which the PM has screwed over NZ’s citizens and Key [National] will pay in 2017 election.

The problem with having a “cult” leader like Trump Key, manufactured by polls, is that they are vulnerable to concerted negative attack ads. EG

Key brokers dodgy deal with Skycity over convention centre (all National Party and ministers are tainted with Key’s nudge-nudge-wink-wink-deal).

Key pulls waitress’s ponytail. Men and women (except Aaron Gilmore) in National Party, who don’t say this is unacceptable are lumped in as sexist bullies?

Key has a dodgy deal on tax-dodging trusts, implicates his lawyer, then throws the lawyer under the bus. What loyalty to truth and kiwis does this act imply about Key and the National Party?

There are so many ways in which Donald Trump John Key embarrasses the Republican Party National Party, that eventually the shit, the bile, the sexism, the arrogant bullying, the treason and the selfish disregard for the population of the country bites Donald Trump Key and the Republican Party on the electoral arse (sorry about using a-r-s-e, but if Paul Henry can get away with it on National TV, surely I should be able to use it here in the “blogs”).

  19. It’s about time that Mark Weldon took the blame for the shocking performance of the tame National Party Political Broadcaster, aka Mediaworks, their shit news programmes and their plummeting shares.

Getting rid of John Campbell (and now Hillary Barry) has seen the death-knell of Mediaworks in its gobshite desire to become a ‘credible’ News and Current Affairs “Hub”

With Weldon gone, Julie Christie and Rachel Glaucima at Mediaworks can now slide quietly into near-oblivion, to the lowest common denominator and reality shows like The Real Housewives of erm….um ..ah.. Gore, Gisborn or Invercargill Auckland. The Batchelor needs to be on 7 times a day, not 7 times a week. I need to get a video recorder so I can tape these gems and replay them while the Rugby is on.

At least Fox TV has insightful presenters like Megan Martin – what person with ovaries will do a similar job for Mediaworks? Scratching head with one hand and typing slowly with the other!

Time to turn on the radio to any station that doesn’t have Mike Hosking, or Paul Henry. Should be fairly easy.

When will credible journalists and solid political commentators like Duncan Garner, tear strips off the walls, build a raft and jump from the Mediaworks National Party Titanic ship into the freezing waters of proper journalism?

Paul Henry, Hillary Barry and Duncan Garner were an unusual ‘threesome’ perched precariously on the bow of the USS Mediaworks
