Slater has been caught out being wrong. Again.
He claimed that Andrew Little’s anecdote at the start of his State of the Nation was a lie. Turns out it was all true and Cameron was just wrong. Somehow Stuff thought it was a story that deserved pursuing and pressed it only to find out it was true.
Why on earth did Stuff think someone as radioactive and manipulative as Slater was a reliable source. Have they learned nothing?
Gutter feeding with Slater after all we now know about his manipulations suggests Stuff journalists have learned nothing from Dirty Politics.
While the veracity of Little’s anecdote is taking up space, focus on the actual policy is lost in the white noise.
This is where I have a problem with your writing Martyn. You say that Cameron Slater claimed that Andrew Littles anecdote was a lie. He made no such direct statement. He merely pointed out the similarity between Little’s anecdote and a scene from a television program, and expressed his opinion that he had a problem with the story. He even left it open for Little to confirm the story by naming the official. There is a big difference between on the one hand saying that you don’t believe someone and asking them to further evidence, and directly accusing them of lying on the other.
On that basis, your criticism of Slater is just as bad as you make out Staters criticism of Little to be.

I’m not accusing no one. It has been well established that Slater is in fact a lier. His wife says as much. And now by extension, the avatar that is SGTwo must be cast with the same brush as a lier. Or at least a slater sock puppet
As I said, you can read what Slater wrote, and decide for yourself whether Martyn’s statement is an accurate summation of what Slater said. The issue I have raised is not whether Slater is a liar or not, but whether Martyn accurately summarised what Slater said in forming the basis for his criticism of Slater. I don’t believe he did. You form your own opinion.
I must decline your invitation to inspect slaters writing as he has in the past politically assassinated some of New Zealands most vulnerable citizens, some of whom are rape victims, greiving widows, bullied waitresses. In some ways I feel sorry for you having to stick up for Slater.

Its clear Cameron Slater was implying it was a lie, and you know why he did that, don’t you? It was an attempt by Slater to discredit Andrew Little, and he failed. Slater is pathetic and has no credibility, all he has done is spread another layer of rotten egg all over his own face. Stuff like any other media outlet should be avoiding Slater like the plague, they are discrediting themselves with that association. Cameron Slater is toxic and irrelevant, and he has done that to himself.
