When Russia launched airstrikes against Syria it would ‘lead to further radicalisation’ but not when the UK does?

The UK have just voted to launch air strikes against Syria.

Fascinating isn’t it…

…right. So when Russia started bombing in Syria, according to David Cameron, it would “lead to further radicalisation and increased terrorism” but when the UK starts bombing Syria peace and democracy is going to break out?

The only ones happy with this further destruction will be IS who continue to generate righteous grievance and anger from the bombing.

This is a geopolitical game being fought between Syria, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, America, Iraq and Iran. Those regional players with their international backers need to stop funding these monsters, that’s how you stop IS – you don’t stop them by bombing and killing more people, that just creates more recruits.

Madness.

  1. More than likely it is the CIA and the Pentagon backed by Britain is behind most of the crap going on in the Middle East.

America has a huge Arms Industry that generate massive wealth and these conflicts give them the opportunity to test new high tech machines.

Life does not matter to these war mongers, not one little bit.

  2. The two gruesome cartoons accompanying this blog, speak volumes, highlighting the contradictory and hypocritical attitudes of the Western nations towards the Middle East.

Now the swine porker Cameron has announced he is about to march the UK off to bomb Syria, wait for the instability and radicalization he accuses Russia of inciting, begin to find its way to Britain, increasing the already existing tensions there!

The only beneficiaries from this conflict will undoubtedly be the filthy, unethical arms and militia industries of the West, rubbing their grubby hands together in sweet anticipation of profits from even more spilled blood!

Immorality reigns in many respects it seems!

  3. So how many countries do we now have air bombing the crap out of the Syrian people – United States, Britain, France, Russia, (Turkey?), the Syrian Government …..

  4. Cameron and Obama are frightened of Russian power, so they are condemning every action,Its to be hoped Assad is not in any of his residences or there could be “whoops it was an accident” then Assad is no more and Obama will try to insist on new elections, wonder then who will be the new Obama favourite for the post. Of course Obama would say Russia did it, his arrogance knows no bounds.

  5. The Brits seem to never learn from their own historic mistakes. They were instrumental in allowing the state of Israel to be established, which led to the pushing out of hundreds of thousands of Palestinian Arabs there, their offspring now living marginal lives in refugee camps in Lebanon, Jordan, Syria and some other places, and even the ones that stayed in their lands, now suppressed under Apartheid like conditions.

The Brits were responsible for betraying the House of Saud, that is initially, when they promised them some autonomy or statehood, and only later did they agree to it.

Arabs have little time for the Brits, and Cameron’s stand on now bombing ISIS in Syria is just going to lead to more disillusionment if not hatred there.

What authority does the British government have, has it been asked by the Assad regime to bomb territory, has it been asked by Syrians, and who are their on the ground allies?

As I have last heard, opposition fighters in Syria are now joining forces, alongside Al Nusra Front, that is an organisation with ties to Al Qaeda. So are they the ground troops Cameron relies on? As for other groups they are hopeless and have lost big already. Or are they supporting the YPG now, also an enemy to Turkey, and ally to the Brits and as part of NATO?

Or does Cameron now even support the Russians and the Assad regime, I wonder?

It seems the Cameron government is falling for mad ideology and passionate insanity, to solve a crisis they have no real answers for.

I hope more Brits will wake up and see the total hypocrisy and madness by their government, led b y an out of touch PM, who is competing to be out of touch, with our own PM, Mr John Doublespeak Key.

  6. This shows signs of weak leadership in Labour, about 60 Labour MP’s voted in favour, while Corbyn voted against.

      • Perhaps, it certainly shows he has them under his thumb. Saying that, even with a conscience vote I’m sure hardly any would have voted against it.

        • Mean while actual people are dying?

          Put it this way.

For a million dollar op that kills 10-1000’s, extremist fundamentalist can force western nations to respond with a trillion? In defence spending?

If that’s as creative as military planing gets, then we deserve to lose this war.

I’m with Corbyn on this one. Politicos these days have no business what so ever involving themselves in strategy

  7. What happens if Syria decides to impose a no-fly zone for all but the Russians?
Also wonder how long it will take for a few UK Labour electorates to ‘de-member’ (or maybe would also consider dis-membering) a few dissenting parliamentary seat-warmers who voted against the moral position of the popularly elected leader?

  8. Only, Cameron didnt say that, or at least, not in that context. Read up on whats going on instead of leaping to a conclusion.

Russia was bombing the Syrian rebels, against assaad. that brutal dictator. Under the guise of bombing IS, The Syrian rebels army was not the target, and Cameron denounced that.

LOOK AT WHERE THE QUOTATION MARKS ARE

its clearly half a sentence cut in half to make him look foolish.

    Do some research.

    • Are you sure Assad is a brutal dictator? The media quotes him as responsible for 200,000 deaths but these include deaths on both sides of the war in Syria which is kind of duplicitous. George Bush is responsible for millions of Iraqi deaths. Is he portrayed as brutal? He should be. Obama drone kills civilians. Likewise. Assad has also been accused of chemical warfare against his own citizens. This has been shown to be a false flag event carried out by the “moderate rebels” with Turkey’s assistance. Assad was once treated as any other sovereign leader by the west but fell out of favour because he did not go along with western plans for a gas pipeline from Qatar to Europe to compete with Russian gas. Assad once oversaw a nation that allowed the peaceful co-existence of a variety of religions. Don’t believe what the mainstream media presents as facts because it is propaganda.

  9. Some background context to the ISIS problem:

‘John Pilger on Paris, ISIS and Media Propaganda (280)’

    https://www.rt.com/shows/going-underground/323420-paris-isis-daesh-uk/

“Afshin Rattansi goes underground with John Pilger. Award winning journalist and author, John Pilger talks to us about how Washington, London and Paris gave birth to ISIS-Daesh. Plus we examine the media’s role in spreading disinformation ahead of a vote in Parliament for UK bombing of Syria. Afshin looks at the Autumn Statement and why in a time of high alert we are cutting the police force and buying drones. Also we look at which companies are benefitting from the budget. Plus Afshin is joined once again by former MP and broadcaster, Lembit Opik, to look at the weeks news from a cyber sinking feeling over Trident to budget boosts for the BBC.”

  10. How long will it take for our so called leaders to realise that bombing hasn’t succeeded since the second world war???

  11. Will try again. Yet another previously submitted comment not able to get through. Who screens most comments?

The following are notes taken from — ” NATO BEHIND THE CREATION OF ISIL ”
Webster Tarpley on the website — REPUBLIC BROADCASTING . ORG

” When we talk about ISIS we’re dealing with the new — CIA – ARAB LEGION
in the same way that — Al’Qaeda , the original one from 1980, was the
CIA – ARAB legion created with the help of the US and British intelligence.

NATO cooks up fake chemical weapons provocations. Phony fake wars.

The CIA and other intelligence agencies do what they want. They do not
ask Obama or any other governments/ministries or presidents.

Death squads exploded in 2000 – 2004 – shadowy network inside the US and British govts. and the CIA.
CIA manipulates public opinion around the world and downplays the effects and severity of all wars. ”

Terrorists attacks ( Drones etc. ) are often staged and created to continue to build fear and stress against terrorism and the Moslems so as to continue perpetual wars against their trumped up terrorism. War profiteering, arms sales go go go go go.
The real terrorists, under all this madness are mostly those banksters controlling the criminal banks and greedy mega- corporations and the CIA —- in other words, the upper 1 % psychopaths running the show and owning the media and most all governments. The Moslems are not the enemy – the CIA and the upper 1 % are ! !
