  1. This is interesting …will the Paris crisis be used by USA and friends ( Saudi Arabia , Israel) for further attacks on Assad ( undermining Russia) and eventually an attack on Iran?

“As we all grieve for Paris in the wake of the horrific terrorist attacks, some very hard and painful questions must be addressed to what degree are the attacks in Paris blowback for Western meddling in the Middle East? And has the West’s war on terror only generated more terror?

“It is official – the Russian plane flying from Egypt was indeed a victim of terror. Who is really responsible remains unclear, nonetheless there can be no doubt much of the terrorism coming out of the Middle East has its origins in the West.CrossTalking with Alexander Mercouris, David Swanson, and Mohammad Marandi.”

    • Unless the U.S declares war against Syria and / or Iraq, there is really not a lot the U.S can do militarily in the Mid East.

Hollande envoked article 46/17 of the EU charter, effectively limiting U.S envolvmnet in French Attacks on IS to just intelligence sharing.

Hollande could have envoked article 5 of the NATO charter meaning turkey would have had to step aside and allow NATO/ coughs* Amurika to stage attacks on IS positions in Syria. But Hollande decided to go with the EU instead. That’s a big we we in Obamas face.

We seem the have hit peak pentagon

    • ‘UK military action in Syria will be ‘legal’ without UNSC resolution – PM Cameron’

      https://www.rt.com/uk/322617-cameron-syria-legal-resolution/

“British Prime Minister David Cameron said on Wednesday that “any action” his country might take in Syria is “legal” even without a UN Security Council resolution.
“It is always preferable in these circumstances to have the full backing of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) but I have to say what matters most of all is that any action we would take would… be legal,” Cameron said while speaking at the House of Commons. He added that such action “would help protect” the UK.

The prime minister has long been trying to get approval to extend UK military action to Syria, with London already involved in airstrikes against Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) terrorists in Iraq. Parliament rejected a vote to extend the bombing campaign to Syria in 2013…

  2. Jonah Lomu’s wife setting up a GIVE-A-LITTLE page, asking for donations to fulfill her and Jonah’s dreams, to make a difference. While not doubting Lomu’s prowess as a rugby great, possibly one of the greatest ever, Nadine Lomu has not stated any specifics for the request!

Sorry folks, with respect to Jonah’ memory, but something doesn’t seem quite right here. Particularly as the Lomu family seem to be quite well off I’d say, living in one of Auckland’s ‘well to do’ suburbs and having just returned from an overseas holiday, attending the RWC. I’m sure there would be plenty left over in the bank to set up a memorial fund in Jonah’s honour, instead of going begging, through a site designed to assist the genuinely distressed!

    Just my opinion.
