  1. Hi,

Totally with you on the layout of RNZ and Scoop sites, but I’d like to ask if there’s a responsive layout in the offing for this site.. My aging eyes would really appreciate it when I read you on mobile. Ta. Keith

  2. Great Interview by Wallace Chapman with Professor Jane Kelsey

    http://www.radionz.co.nz/national/programmes/sunday/audio/201762970/jane-kelsey-the-fire-this-time

“Jane Kelsey is a professor of law at the University of Auckland and a long-time critic of free trade deals. Her latest book The Fire Economy critiques the financialisation of the economy and argues New Zealand could be at the forefront of challenging neo-liberalism.”

“It is widely seen as an historic deal between East and West. In return for an end to sanctions, Iran will limit its nuclear activities. It took 20 months of negotiations, and now Iran has agreed a long-term nuclear deal with the US, UK, France, China and Russia plus Germany – to limit its sensitive nuclear activities in return for the lifting of crippling sanctions Dr Negar Partow is a Senior Lecturer in Security Studies, Centre for Defence and Security University at Massey University. Dr Partow was born in Tehran and lived there through the 1979 Islamic Revolution, and grew up there during the 1980 to 1988 Iran-Iraq War.”

  3. ‘Remembering MH17’

    http://www.rt.com/shows/crosstalk/310075-mh17-investigation-facts-figures/

“Investigations into the downing of flight MH17 in eastern Ukraine are still inconclusive or incomplete a year on from the tragedy. However, this has not stopped the West and their media from apportioning blames, without facts and figures to back up their claims. The search for justice for the families of those killed on MH17 continues.

CrossTalking with Ray McGovern, Alexander Mercouris, and Patrick Henningsen.”

    • Thanks for reminding us of this shocking event CHOOKY. I sincerely hope the bereaved families, friends and colleagues of those lost on MH17, find peace.

Still nothing regarding the disappearance of MH370 sixteen months since going missing! After this time, I would have thought something, anything from the flight might have shown up somewhere, giving some indication of where it went down. But no, still nothing. A mystery in itself. Must be very hard on the bereaved families to come to terms with it.

      • yes I think this a graphic example of framing

… the importance ( or rather the immoral machiavellianism or skullduggery) of getting in first with the framing…and burying the facts, driving the political issues and ‘morality’ and skewing political advantage against your adversaries
