It can not be easy for the religious right in America. Banning racist confederate flags is bad enough, but Gay weddings?

United States joins rainbow world
The US Supreme Court has made same-sex marriage legal throughout the nation in a much-awaited landmark decision that triggered wild jubilation and tears of joy across the country.

In a 5-4 ruling, the court said the Constitution requires all 50 states to carry out and recognise marriages between people of the same sex.

President Barack Obama praised the ruling as “a victory for America”.

When even the Pope is breaking ranks and highlighting climate change as a sin, the poor Religious Right of America might be muttering to their gun, skulking in their panic rooms soon.

Now if we could just move on the whole killing unarmed African-Americans, disengaging the military industrial complex and removing the plutocracy of corporations, America could be worth hanging with again.

In a world of gross over population… and as a consequence environmental crisis….we should be lauding gay marriage !….as an absolutely fabulous thing

If you will also add in there the present day slavery of Latino/Latina in service positions, on the cropping farms, and the inhumanity at the borders where youngsters are being incarcerated unpleasantly?

Continuing a fine old tradition of racial violence – and not simply against Americans of African descent.
