There.

I said it.

Not only do I think it’s time the UN and the US were run by the best female candidate, I also think they should win BECAUSE of their gender,

There.

I said it.

I just don’t trust the alpha male power crazed orgy of selfishness that seems to occur whenever you get a group of rich powerful men into a room.

The Global Financial Recession was caused by power mad male greed monsters who risk took at dangerously cocaine fuelled adolescent levels. The dangers of this lack of diversity were spelt out by the head of Deutsche Bank

TDB Recommends NewzEngine.com

The head of Deutsche Bank has highlighted the danger presented by a lack of diversity. The Wall Street Journal reports that in a business school lecture Anshu Jain, co-chief executive of Deutsche Bank, explained that a number of issues in his industry could have been avoided if gender diversity was more prevalent.

“If I think about some of the issues that my industry is dealing with, frankly, if we had higher gender diversity perhaps some the objectionable stuff that we’ve seen may not have happened,” he said. He suggested that a lack of women in boardrooms could be to blame for the worst of the financial crisis.

…we’ve had deeply flawed male leadership for a very long time. I think women have different skill strengths and they could generate a different type and style of leadership. Of course, I want this to be ability based in that it’s the ‘best’ female candidate (I know Helen Clark is the best female candidate for the UN, not so sure Hillary is for America however).

I believe their gender is a positive strength and it is a refreshing and needed change.

The claim on the Paul Henry Show by 3 men that angry feminism isn’t needed are firstly a sign from the book of revelations that the 4 broadcasters of the apocalypse have been released and secondly show an appalling lack of  critical thinking on the subject.

The daily abuse of women is hidden, the economic injustices of worth are never acknowledged and their intrinsic skills – societal or nature driven – are never celebrated the same way as male culture is.

I want to see real female leadership and I want to see the best female candidate win. It’s time to see if a different way of leadership not rooted in the power crazed macho masculine club first think later approach that’s just failed so spectacularly for the last 50 000 years is preferable.

The outcry from men that Helen Clark and Hilary Clinton are being sexist for holding their gender up as a positive preference seem to have missed the last several millennia of history.

  1. By saying the following comments:

“I just don’t trust the alpha male power crazed orgy of selfishness that seems to occur whenever you get a group of rich powerful men into a room.”

“It’s time to see if a different way of leadership not rooted in the power crazed macho masculine club first think later approach that’s just failed so spectacularly for the last 50 000 years is preferable.”

Are you implying that women are not power crazed, powerful, or macho?

Isn’t the problem here that you’re attributing characteristics to women that we’ve fought for generations? We WANT to be power crazed, we want to be arrogant, we want to be leaders with the same clout that a man has. The problem is, we’re told that we can’t be because we’d be perceived as bossy. We’re told that “women should be nice” and not power hungry, it’s “unladylike”. So, unfortunately, while I think this is well intentioned, it actually perpetrates the stereotypes.

    IMHO.

    • absolutely vanessa – margaret thatcher was a great role model of a power crazy arrogant leader – with more leaders like her and hillary clinton the world can continue with business as usual

    • Thank you for your comment.

Of course woman can be power crazed and macho. There are plenty of examples of women mastering the alpha macho environment by being as malicious in power.

But I also think women have experiences that have never been celebrated for leadership. I’m not stereotyping those experiences, I am saying they are different from a males and that difference is something I want to see in leadership because i think it may create a different type of leadership.

      • I certainly think that’s true, but it’s a secondary aspect of the matter.

The problem is, by saying we have “experiences” that could be celebrated for leadership, what you’re saying is: you don’t fit neatly within this box that we accept for leaders but we’ll make excuses for you anyway. And that shouldn’t be something we do.

Male leaders may bring different experiences to the table, but they share one fundamental factor: they’re male. So they can bring that to the table (generally more accepted), and THEN celebrate their differences. Women are on the back foot from the get-go under your scenario. Let’s ignore the gender, and then celebrate the differences. And hopefully, that’s a place we’re getting to.

I don’t want to be considered for a job as a leader because I’m more sympathetic, emotional, caring or considerate, or worse, a pushover – which are the characteristics of women that are generally more celebrated. I want to be considered because I’m the best person for the job.

All that said, I think it would be incredible for women to see a female president. I just don’t want anyone to get there on the basis of gender alone.

        • Why not?

The National party appear to have promoted white men to positions of power within it based on gender and skin colour alone.

How else could you explain Mike Sabin and Mark Osborne?

        • I think we need sympathetic, emotional, caring and considerate leadership more now than ever. I don’t see those attributes as negative.

          • And I see them in a negative context. Why? Because I’m female, and it’s been expected of me my whole life. I don’t like it – why shouldn’t I been seen as hard-nosed as my male counterparts?

I refuse to give in to such a steretype. And it’s my “experiences” as a woman that inspire that. It’s from being in an all-male meeting and being asked to get the coffee, even though I’m older and more qualified than most of the men in the room. You may roll your eyes, but it’s because as a female, I’m expected to be more compassionate, considerate etc, and therefore I should want to get the coffee. It’s from being told that it’s much nicer to have a female answer the door at the office, because we are more pleasant than men.

            No thanks.

I don’t want those attributes, just like my male counterparts don’t. Why should I celebrate them when they are seen as my downfall? I’ll stick to earning it because I deserve it, not because of my gender.

          • I’m with you there Martyn. what ever happened with leading from the heart not the head?

Is Planet Key turning us all into careless heartless fools?

        • Nor do I want to see Hillary Clinton as the next pres. of the US mostly because she is bought and owned by the same greedy corporations that own the govt and the media and are pushing the TPPA. She is part of the fascist illuminati and the NWO and dwells with the upper 1 % who are out of touch with the people. She is all about profits before people and bowing down to the corporations who pay her millions.

I agree with Chooky in that ELIZABETH WARREN is a much better woman candidate for the pres. of the US. She is a woman of integrity who will fight for what is right and good and she is not a corporate whore nor is she a greedy unethical war mongerer like Hillary.

    • I’m sorry @ Martyn Bradbury but I think @ Vanessa’s dead right . What about the cadre of appalling female fuckers infesting our politics right now ? And only a few days ago, I saw a nauseating , arse kissing article about the dreadful theresa gutting in the NZ Herald ?
From ruth richardson to jenny shipely etc to the vile paula bennett , hekia parata and anne tolly, NZ women politicians are every bit as devious, dangerous and vile as any ‘ man’ .
You suggest ” it may create a different type of leadership.” In Indonesia there’s a popular saying . ” Same , same but different. ”
Here’s what I saw in my tea leaves this morning . ” paula bennett . First Woman President of the Republic of New Zealand . ”
      Chill, meet spine .

      • Yeah…..think Paula Benefit.

Think Ruth ‘ Ratchet up the rich’ Richardson .

        Think Jenny Shitely.

We’ve had our fair share of bra wearing Fascists as well.

And as mentioned above there was Margaret Thatcher …and then that twit from Alaska of the Tea Party…I would have to say that lets get past the man / woman thing and look at the individual person.

One thing you can say about the Israeli army is the women there aren’t afraid to muck in and dish it out just like the men …you certainly couldn’t accuse the Israeli army women of being squeamish….

Look it all gets down to merit ..to me its all about just doing the job….doesn’t matter what sex a person is.

And just remember Queen Boudica if any of you don’t think a woman can do the job….or Joan of Arc…

Don’t really think either of them were the picture of homeliness and compromise , …… do you?

Oh what lost sheep modern humanity sometimes can be…we are more confused now about all this than our ancestors at times….so much for social progression !….L00L !

  2. Hilary Clinton’s rep is she is a neocon war hawk determined to assert U$$$$ world hegemony. When Gaddafi was murdered she gloated ( paraphrase ) We came, we did, he died!
If she gets into power war with Russia will be on the cards for a cert.

    • ” Hillary as president would mean war with Russia. With neocon nazis such as Robert Kagan and Max Boot running her war policy and with Hillary’s comparison of Russia’s president Putin to Adolf Hitler, war would be a certainty. As Michel Chossudovsky and Noam Chomsky have written, the war would be nuclear.

If Hillary is elected president, the financial gangsters and profiteering war criminals would complete their takeover of the country. It would be forever or until armageddon. ”

      http://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2014/11/16/next-presidential-election-will-move-world-closer-war-paul-craig-roberts/

    • Well said Jay. May I suggest that Hillary has already won because she is the choice of the elite upper 1% , behind the curtain, making all the decisions about what will happen and why. Buying elections is a cover up, they arrange voting and election results. 9/11 was planned ; all wars were planned by them and they will make sure that another Clinton, their family and relative will be the next president. NO doubts ! ! Hands down, she will be the next US president because that is the next step in the financial decline and destabilization of America. In the plans long long ago.

I know that many will think I am nuts but I encourage you all to do more research behind the Agenda 21 ; The Tavistock Institute etc. to begin to see what their plans have been for a very long time. Most of what we have been fed in schools by our govt’s and historically are wrong and a new way of being and a new paradigm is needed based on honesty and integrity and being kind to every living thing.

Hillary Clinton is a war mongering corporate owned woman with an alliance to what is not best for humanity. She is a joke and her little bus tour to Iowa is a ploy to feed the public nonsense that she may be like them in some way. What a joke and what fools who buy her propaganda.

      • +100 Blake on your last paragraph…Clinton could be an absolute disaster

…but I would like to see Helen Clark head the UN!…she could be fantastic

        • Helen is wonderful and a very sensitive and compassionate person, after we fought for Gisborne rail to survive to stop our City from sinking under truck gridlock Helen was the one person that wrote and offered help.

After her departure after 105 emails to Key and his crooks not one letter or reply of no thanks has been received from Keys lot, so its all about human compassion and Key has none.

We have the proof as Office of PM Wayne Eagleston confirmed all 105 emails were received and sent to PM to read but no reply ever came.

          Guilty as charged Mr Key.

Fix your shit or leave us all to fix our rail on our own.

        • The UN is not what you think it is. Helen Clark is not who we think she is. People need to get informed about what the UN’s real agenda is. They are poised to be part of the ruling order for the Agenda 21 and the NWO. I am no longer a fan of Helens nor the UN after I did tons of research on what is what and the truths that many are unaware of. Before you label me nuts, do some research on your own and learn the facts and the truths.

  3. Ahhh – Martyn and the White Knight Manginas – riding on their gelded ponies, championing women and their values.

Women perform one of the most important and Nobelist functions for our species – namely bearing and bringing up the next generation. Men perform the work of civilization – always have done and always will do. Together, we have become the most successful species known.

In order for my DNA to be propagated (and that’s my animal intention) I will defend my woman and my children, to the death if need be. I also have to stop my woman migrating socially upwards to a “better” alpha male. This too is her need as the better male (or conquering army …) will be more attractive to her, again for the betterment of the species.

Childbearing women will always want and need the protection of men or their proxies – the asinine braying of demented feminists and their White Knight champions will stop the minute we in the west are under direct threat – they will become silent little girls again and our men will take up arms to defend our girls. Those women who are past child bearing will be thrown under the bus.

Cheers … yes, I am donning my flak jacket! (LOL).

    • Pour another whiskey ; stick your head further into the ground and keep dreaming. Women just love men like you.

    • What / who do we need protection from exactly? Wild animals?

The scariest thing about your comment is there are up votes.

    • Wow! My Hero! Troll of the week! Well done you!

(But where would you be if the fem in your life didn’t ask for the directions when you’re lost? Or kept you looking employable by updating your wardrobe? Hmmm?)

    • yeah that’s kinda dated as far as thinking goes, all those brave Kurdish fighters (female) how do you explain them in your silent little girl theory? Or that recent story about the rise of female bodyguards in China? any one of which, I am absolutely sure, could kick your ass…

  4. Good on ya Bomber

one time 1999 / 2000…Prime Minister Leader of the Opposition Chief High Court Judge Governor General…all posts held by Women and many will say good women for their roles…..I think both Congress Senate and President need a good dose of Feminism

Given the mess this World is in…..would Putin Nettanyahoo be quivering…..not sure but women from Palestine and Ukraine should be more hopeful …..other species live under Matriarchal Rules, what’s your hang up Man….Metiria Turei for PM
Waiata Song ‘First Flash of Freedom’ Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers

    Keep cool Aotearoa…..and keep smiling
    Doug

  5. A power crazed, psychopathic leader is the same, male or female. If we could skim the psychopaths off the top, then we might have a hope – then a women could be advantageous, otherwise…..

Hilary is more of a Hawk than Bush or Obama…..

  6. Yeah, I think Elizabeth Warren is the best candidate for president too with Bernie Sanders as her running mate!

    Oh wait you said Hillary!?

  7. Thanks Martyn,
You have correctly observed that in general women and men have very different styles.
What a cop out to say that women have to become like men in order to make an impact. You only need to see the Inside job or the Wolf of Wall street to see what untrammeled male behaviour has done. Just how many women are there in the finance sector? Risk taking and flagrant speculation are male characteristics that are highly damaging to the economy and to civil society. Male energy needs to be balanced by female energy for society to thrive- then a synchronicity and huge strength can emerge. Women have to step up to the mark to claim their own unique power. Only then will the male excesses that we see every where be channeled in a positive direction.

  8. Who above , with blank profile photos/names, think anyone would take seriously comments made by ‘grey goats -sorry I meant ghosts. Women are able to reply here without my support and I suggest some of you might have been well advised to do the same. I feel sure someone soon is going to have another ass-hole ripped!

    • @ DAVID HEAD . ” Ass ‘ is spelled ‘ Arse ‘ in NZ/Aotearoa . A small but significant point IMO x.

  9. It’s all about gender roles – actual, perceived and historical. When humans dwelt in caves men were the stronger, taller and faster because they needed to be so, to be successful hunters and gatherers. Women needed to be healthy, good managers and healers to bear healthy offspring, keep the families together and deal with the inevitable sicknesses and accidents that occurred. The two roles went together pretty well and this is why humans have thrived.
The old instincts and evolutionary traits are still there, but not as clearly defined or useful as they once were. Modern living has skewed the old roles and it is confusing for many. Some societies cling to more ancient codes of conduct where males are in charge, make the decisions, etc. whilst others embrace a more egalitarian system. It is relatively easy to change outside appearance, but quite hard to change hundreds of thousands of years of instinct, and lets face it we are still quite instinctual animals, time has not changed that a lot.
I tend to think that many males can only understand a powerful female leader when they turn her into an “honorary male”. Take Helen Clarke, for example, the media literally turned her into an honorary male because she didn’t smile a lot (women are always supposed to smile you know), although married had no children, and her husband wasn’t constantly with her, in fact he very seldom was even seen or mentioned. The media turned her into an honorary male, which in their mind gave them permission to call her any amount of sexist, hate names and terms. You are not supposed to do that to a woman, only a man (although Cameron Slater usually ignores such unwritten roles). But since they “turned” her into a man it was OK to do this.
Now watch as the American media turn Hiliary Clinton into an honorary man so they can do the same.

  10. So the only way a woman can be a good female leader is if she’s left wing? Women who choos to be right wing become men and are open for gender attributable insults? Way to go. So progressive

  11. Of those who have declared that they would run as Presidential candidates, Hillary Clinton is probably the best but that’s nothing to be proud of. I also didn’t like the heading. It was too close to “I apologise for being a man” for my liking. We’ve been there and the outcome wasn’t pretty.

    • Hilary is a shocker. She is a proven liar and she is a whore for Monsanto and other corporates. She has obviously been chosen by the real power brokers in the USA as someone who values her own ambition above all else and thus can be relied upon to do their bidding while projecting the “first woman president whoopee” bullshit for the proles. Much the same as Obama was chosen as the “first black president whoopee,” while maintaining the status quo. I could be unkind and say George Bush was the first “intellectually challenged president” whoopee but I won’t, oops I already did.
Anyone who thinks there will be any substantial difference between the policies of Hilary or Jeb Bush is kidding themselves. The USA is not a democracy it is a fascist corporatocracy and the whole election circus is a sideshow to keep the proles occupied while the real business of raping and pillaging the world, including the unfortunate american citizens, continues.

      • IKE – WELL WRITTEN – COULD NOT AGREE WITH YOU MORE. TOO BAD MORE ARE NOT AWARE OF ALL OF THIS. DO CHECK OUT
ELIZABETH WARREN – IF YOU HAVEN’T ALREADY.

  12. The irony is Paul Henry wouldn’t have his job if he were a woman. Kiwis only tolerate his bullshit as he is a middle aged white man and therefore allowed to be arrogant and opinionated on television.
