L-o-v-e the new John Key book

  1. Armstrong is devolving from a lazy journo into the kind of low invertebrate calumniator that slates its victims – quite unlike the charming and reclusive insect that recycles old dead wood.

  2. Go drop a comment on John Roughan’s self-indulgent piece about writing his John Key book. You’ll enjoy it. You’ll also enjoy that many of the other comments are also scathing.

    • Disgraceful that he was allowed to put in, no doubt encouraged to put in, an advertisement under the guise of a column.

  3. Where is the “media strategy” of the left, especially Labour, I ask? It is nowhere to be seen or heard, as the media bosses and their mercenary staff continue to put out all “good” sounding messages about the government, like economic growth, stability, pragmatism and whatever else there is, but there is almost NO mention of Labour and what they stand for. Also the Greens are struggling to get attention, and we do not even need to go near Mana Internet Party, there is total indifference and lack of mention now, after the initial bit of reporting when they joined forces.

Labour is not learning, have not got their act together, I am afraid, they better start waking up, that the media are not their friends, and to get the messages across, more aggressive and assertive, confident communication is needed. Cunliffe showed a bit of it during the Liu debate last week, sticking to his gun, but the rest are nowhere to be seen or heard.

So the election is in danger of having been decided again by the MSM, like the last two.

Forget democracy in this country, it is a total FARCE!

    • The conversation needs to be had at some point: what is are activists to do when antidemocratic forces supplant our democratic institutions.
The direct action people have a few clues…

  4. Did you see today’s Reid Research poll? Another nail in the coffin.

    National: 49.7%
    Labour: 27%
    Green 12%

The fix is in. Labour is finished.

Honest John to reign for 3 more glorious years!!

    • Yes, I saw and heard it, but these polls are the result of MSM (mainstream media) misinformation, of superficial, biased reporting, also falling on “fertile grounds” with younger generations that are “mercenary” in their mindset, and will do all for a bit of cash, a perk and advantage, to get “ahead” of others.

You have ALL waited and endured too long, dear more mature New Zealanders, the “egalitarian” society is NO MORE, it has been destroyed, and your own sons and daughters think first of themselves, rather than for their country, and when things get too tough, they take their money (inherited from mum and dad) and RUN to Australia.

That is NZ Aotearoa, as shallow and hollow a society, as any corrupted society can become. There is NO faith and loyalty, and social conscience, and awareness, it is about me, me and more me, and what I can get out of it. No wonder a self serving bastard like John Key swims in popularity with such a state of affairs. I am afraid that is the truth we face.

      • I call John Key an “honest liar”, he makes no doubt about it, by showing his contempt for honesty, making constant 180 degrees turns in his public statements, and the fricking dumb or collaborating MSM let him get away with it, believe this or not!?

  5. Just working on something that will bring a smile to some…

… and hopefully give cause for others at the Herald to think a little more deeply at what they’ve been engaging in.

  6. After finding out about TISA today, I can barely watch the news anymore in aghast as to why its not on MSM

    • Because the MSM are all into trivia let’s face it. They’ve decided we are not interested and don’t care. The only media that has any credibility left is National Radio in my view.
