Note To Auckland Council: When it rains turn off the sprinklers, especially when it is a cyclonic rain storm!

That’s common sense right?

Yes. So why is Auckland Council watering the sports field at Fowlds Park in Mt Albert while Cyclone Lusi’s rain pours down?

Is this another sign that the Auckland Council has yet to realise that unnecessary waste is a contributor to its budget problems?

When you consider the high cost of tap water within the Auckland supercity’s borders, and the Council just pours this resource down the drain, it begins to make sense why the Council’s rates bills continue to climb.
