Judith Collins comes clean about dinner
Prime Minister John Key says he’s disappointed in Justice Minister Judith Collins for not being upfront about a dinner with a Chinese company linked to her husband and a senior Chinese government official during an official trip to Beijing.

A spokeswoman for Key said he met Collins this morning to express his disappointment that she did not tell him about the dinner.

Key said he considered the cumulative effects of her interaction with the company, Oravida, could give rise to a perception of a conflict of interest.

“It was unwise for the Minister to have put herself in this position, and the Prime Minister has made it clear to Ms Collins that she needs to better manage any situation that could give rise to such a perception,” the statement said.

In a hastily arranged press conference this morning, Collins apologised for failing to divulge details of the dinner.

…what was Judith discussing with these Chinese businessmen? Was it in regards to the business her husband is directer of? When will Key show some spine and reprimand his Minister?
