Cut taxes > cut social services > increase poverty > more social dysfunction > increased crime > more imprisonment > more profits for private prisons.
Who said poverty can’t be made profitable?
Yet crime is falling in NZ where inequality has supposedly increased dramatically under this government and is rising in Venezuela where the socialist inspired policies in that country have reduced inequality.
How do you explain that ?
If you want to avoid a speeding ticket, don’t speed.
If you want to avoid a 10% penalty, pay your taxes on time.
If you want to avoid prison on the first strike, don’t do strike one……don’t do strike two…….and, most important of all, don’t break the law for a third time and expect to be let off with a “don’t do it again.” We are not talking a first offence here. This is only a worry for a person who has two previous convictions.
