Private prosecution against Len Brown shot down by Solicitor-General
The Solicitor-General has turned down a request by Graham McCready to bring a private prosecution against Auckland Mayor Len Brown, saying the evidential grounds for prosecution were not met.

It would be great if the bizarre mix of right wing astro-turf front group ‘Affordable Auckland’ and Penny Bright and Vinnie Eastwood and Cameron Brewer and the Chemtrailers and anti-flouridation brigade could move on to do something more useful than trying to dance to Cameron Slater’s jig.

Maybe a combined protest movement to demand an investigation into UFOs secretly privatising water which is really benefitting Penny Hulse? You know, something really important. that deserves all the moralistic outrage so far wasted on Len.

Yawn.

I didn’t vote for Len because I thought he was gutless on important issues, and I was eye-rolling over Len’s affair but Len was elected to force Wellington to pay for Auckland’s infrastructure and for the rest of his term I fully support him in that endeavour. Trumped up moral crusades bore me and those from the protest fringes do themselves and their causes no good by continuing with this bullshit.

Moral crusades are never a sound basis for politics. I just hope that Ms Bright and her friends are squeaky clean as well.

  2. No one is concerned at the participation of a moral-free, fame-seeking, woman in this case. I’ve seen those types in action and they are oh-so-innocent. He was wrong then and has stopped and recanted. Watch his politics, and watch your own record.

  3. This on and on and on crucifying of Len Brown is almost more boring than seeing yet another ‘story’ about Di.
You crucifiers are really really becoming not only boring you’re becoming extremely petty and foolish-looking as well.
Build a bridge and let the best person (certainly at the moment anyway) to lead Auckland City get on with the job.
I live in Tauranga so it affects me not a jot (as Billy would say) other than making the inside of my eyelids sting 🙁

  4. Some people object to fluoride on reasonably legitimate grounds, but as for chemtrails, Agenda 21, and the rest of the conspiracy rubbish – the sooner the left makes it very very clear that Vinnie Eastwood and Penny Bright are not part of us, the better.

  5. This on and on and on crucifying of Len Brown is almost more boring than seeing yet another poll with JK and the Nats leaving everyone else in the dust.

  6. At the moment the moral crusaders have the politcal right on board because the latter still haven’t got over their defeat in the last mayoral election. Let them put a candidate in the next mayoral election and then we shall see just how popular they really are
