What about the women Francis?? Remember them, they ironed the liturgical garments and altar cloths, arranged the flowers and ran after the clerics in the church. Perhaps when the church itself makes structural changes to acknowledge that women are real people too…maybe then (but probably not)!
Indeed, Julz. He’s full of fine talk, but shies away from the most important issue facing the church: the role and status of women, and issues – such as abortion and contraception – that fundamentally affect women. It puzzles me that the Catholic church still has any female adherents; they’d all be well-advised to decamp, and leave the institution to the blokes.
