Just so that we are all clear

Just so that we are 1000% clear on Key’s claims that he was not told anything about Kim Dotcom before January 19, 2012, just so that we are clear – if it turns out that John Key WAS told about Kim Dotcom before that date and Key has lied all this time, well if that happens, just so that we are, as I aforementioned – 1000% clear, Key would have to resign right?

I’d hate for those on the Right who are currently calling for Len Brown to resign over a personal affair because it erodes the moral authority of the Mayor to look like foaming hypocrites if it turns out the Prime Minister of the NZ has been telling a bare faced lie to the country for all these years.

We all clear on that? Just wanted to make sure.

  1. Latest revelations are that a National MP warned Len Brown about the sex scandal about to blow.

    http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/politics/9315726/Brown-campaign-tipped-off-by-National-MP

Some questions need to be asked:

Who tipped off the ‘helpful’ National MP? Was it John Polino? Was it Luigi Wewege? Was it Cameron Slater?

None of these individuals have shown a shred of concern for the Mayor or his family. And would not be tipping off a National MP to “help” Len Brown.

Did this ‘helpful’ National MP delicately raise the idea that the Mayor should step down and ‘helpfully’ suggest that the Mayor cite health problems as the reason?

Remember, we are talking about a crime with a maximum jail term of 14 years.

Did anyone from the Polino/National Party camp, at anytime offer helpful advice to the Mayor of Auckland, or his team, that Len Brown should step down, and cite as the reason, a recurrence of the Mayor’s health problems, as laid out in the blackmail plot described by Bevan Chuang?

No wonder that John Key, our Blackmailer in Chief, is talking about a whole “drawer” full of sleaze ready to be released on Labour MPs if they speak out.

The last thing Key wants is another National MP before the courts.

  2. i’m NOT on the right but it seems crystal clear to me that he would have to resign. Lets face it – he is so in love with the power of his (undeserved) office that he would hold on for grim death. After all if he was no longer PM, he could no longer travel the world fawning over world leaders while pretending to be relevant or important himself. I would love to have a snap election right now. Before they finish their (national) looting and ransacking of the country. Love your blog Bomber, you are the voice of sanity in the madness that is NZ under the national government.

  3. My understanding is that he would have to resign sppecifically because he lied to parliament (apparantly it’s ok to lie to the rest of us), not because of any percieved moral failure.
I believe that he did lie to parliament about KDC, and am hoping proof will be presented at the trial (KDC trial, not Keys).
Also after the election I’m hoping that the GCSB is investigated fully, and people found to have broken the law, no matter how high their station, are prosocuted with vigour.

  4. Yep John Key should have to resign when the truth about his involvement in the mega-witch hunt is revealed, but he won’t & not much will happen when he doesn’t. Why not well for one thing Len Brown whose shenanagins should make all sensible lefties come to their senses about blind partisan loyalty, is busy providing the Jey crook with all the cover Key needs to prevent his ass from getting too exposed.

I cannot for the life of me understand why lefties are racing to defend the Brown creep.
Lets face it Len Brown belongs in the labour party about is much as Roger Douglad & Richard Prebble did.

This is the bloke who spent thre months trying to destroy the wharfies and now he wants the left to rush to his side?

Bugger that the bloke is a creep & he deserves everything he gets.

No I don’t think a pols sexual activities should be the cause of his dismissal, but in saying that I also don’t think someone should be supported regardless of their applied politics just because they happen to belong to a vaguely humanist political movement.

Brown has done jack shit for the ordinary citizens of Auckland, like every other mayor in recent history, Len Brown sides with the elites, the developers & the sweatshop employers, not the battlers so I say “a pox on him & all his worthless careerist & parasitical cronies”.
