Following on from the June 2013 release of Child Abuse: What role does poverty play? a review of the last 25 years of research, CPAG will be releasing the second report in this two part series – this time providing an analysis of the New Zealand data.
With special guest speaker:
Patsy Henderson Watt (QSM)
Patsy is Director of the Miriam Centre for Child Abuse Treatment and Research in Whangarei. The Centre serves the wider Northland region and is spearheading a collaborative, inter-agency approach to help break cycles of child abuse and violence. Patsy is also a senior clinician and therapist who has been awarded the Distinguished Practitioner’s Award for Just Practice from Unitec and was part of the first collective nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2006.
