Mana candidate Te Hamua Nikora has invited 25,000 Ikaroa Rawhiti voters to Flex their Mussels – by coming back to the Maori Roll
This will enable them to join the Ikaroa Rawhiti by-election.
25,000 Maori are on the general roll in the electorate, and he’s inviting as many of them as possible to come back to the Maori Roll.
There are also 31,000 Maori on the Maori Roll in Ikaroa Rawhiti.
‘Our people can pop into any NZ Post and enroll there’ says Nikora.
’25,000 voters would fill half of Eden Park. Whanau who flex their voting muscle and come back to the roll will be equipped to vote for Mana and for me at the end of June.’
In addition, a stronger Maori Roll means more Maori seats.
‘This is Uncle Parekura’s by-election, and having it during the Maori Option is part of his legacy,’ says Nikora.
