Headline: Feed Our Kids – MANA Candidate for Ikaroa-Rawhiti Te Hamua Nikora

“Congrats must go to the MANA Movement and to the MANA Leader Hone Harawira from today’s announcement to extend the Kickstart breakfast programme” says MANA Candidate for Ikaroa-Rawhiti Te Hamua Nikora.

“Although today’s announcement doesn’t go far enough, is a step in the right direction.  Let’s not forget that 70% of the country wants state-funded breakfasts in schools, rather than relying on charity”.

“All that’s needed now is one more vote to get Hone’s Feed the Kids Bill over the line so that every decile one and two kid in the country gets free breakfast and lunch.  For Ikaroa-Rawhiti, that’s just under half of all Maori kids who will benefit from MANA’s policy”.
