Is this relationship that Public Address has unearthed commercial?

I can buy 20 houses by age 13, so can you!

The connection of all this lifestyle home ownership porn being rammed down our throat by the NZ Herald has been exposed  by Public Address as being all through one company, Ron Hoy Fong and his “coaching family” Ronovationz…

Herald property writer Anne Gibson’s story also embodies another trend in these stories: that the way to buy a house in Auckland is to become a property investor. Yes, cities need landlords. But the idea that we should all turn home ownership into a speculative business is completely mad. Auckland has quite enough of that.

But one more thing: it’s yet another Gibson story mentioning property investor Ron Hoy Fong and/or his “coaching family” Ronovationz, which runs property investment seminars. I count 14 of them since the beginning of last year.

…which demands the question, is this a commercial relationship where Ron Hoy Fong pays for advertising and gets these sort of lifestyle home ownership porn in response?

The Spinoff Blog is the master at this online. They take money for copy and wrap it all up under the guise of being transparent when it really isn’t. Has the NZ Herald sone the same thing here? I suspect that ‘Herald Focus’ section is paid content, is this lifestyle home ownership porn part of that?

When the mainstream commercial media scream ‘fake news’ is this sort of cash for copy business model also ‘fake news’ or is it ‘bought news’?

  1. Oh my goodness, what utter opportunistic BS:

That one is living in ‘Nirvana’ already, how fitting?!

NZ Property Investor profile of him:
    http://www.propertyinvestor.co.nz/article/626/the-truth-about-chinese-investors

    Excerpt:
“He says 55% of his students are Chinese and at least half are in mixed marriages, mainly married to Kiwis. “Chinese girls [are] married to male Kiwis” Hoy Fong says. “It is the women who usually drive the property investing”.”

    Ron on LinkedIn:

On Property Talk they seem to “love” him:
    https://www.propertytalk.com/forum/showthread.php?39552-On-Ron-Hoy-Fong-and-New-Lynn

Well, surprisingly or not, Duncan Garner “outed” that man a couple of years ago:
    http://www.radiolive.co.nz/Duncan-Garner-Chinese-property-investor-tells-his-members-to-buy-up-Central-Auckland/tabid/674/articleID/42390/Default.aspx

    Extract:
“This is Ron Hoy Fong who calls himself “Super Investor Ron.’ He’s Chinese but was born in New Zealand. He’s been very successful across a number of areas. He also runs a property investment advice company. I’m told many of his clients are “Asian’ but some are not.

In this 2013 video it’s clear he’s telling his investor group – his clients, to stay clear of South Auckland and fringe suburbs and target Central Auckland. He tells his investment group to buy-up Central Auckland. He says he’s convinced the more central areas are where the money is to be made.”

Conclusion, Public Address seem to be onto something there!

    • Sup MIKE IN AUCKLAND

Inwas thinking today I am going to debunk “it’s totally not marx, it’s the herald” which is very questionable in some parts. Before I start I thought I’d go over somethings about the debating community that GOSMAN and Andrew don’t really understand very well. There is a difference between researching and debating, ok? Debating is a form of arguing and you learn over a sense of conflict, right? To prove your opponent wrong. And thats something I do differently on TDB and you as well. We debate to learn our stances on things so our points are less refutable, right? (Correct me if I’m wrong)

I’ll give an example. So basically over the years we’ve debated many things, the deep state and how much data that they can lift from beneficiaries. We could analyse anything like low balling the shitty meme that the SAS can only kill 3 year old girls, right? But when we are debating it’s like what emerge was, “oh look, it turns out the SAS really can lock down a small city block up in the mountains for a period of time” or that woman’s refuge can get owned by treasury and then oh look, when the woman’s refuge community is on guard they can systematically remove state actors. During election season debating you are going to find out that there are many different arguments and you are going to find away around them and basically it makes your argument a lot stronger the more experienced you become so you cant just spew out some bullshit and claim it’s the most accurate.

So GOSMAN and Andrew comes off as people who has look into matters but it looks like they’ve never had a hint of controversy in their lives. It looks like they’ve never even argued with there own mothers when you look at there comments. This is mainly apparent when you speak to them about female beneficiaries but for the most part, for the rest of us humans it’s like really muh son, sex with the opposite sex really isn’t that bad so why don’t you try getting of the act party dick. So it’s mainly them low balling and underestimating the human potential which I and many others including TDB authors have absolutely debunked in many many replies and blogs that you can talk about if you want but we’ve already debunked these two elite representations of blow up dolls, we’ve debunked them on the human side of things. Low balling humans have been massively debunked I mean look at what flood survivors are doing, they are eating well and sleeping well and there is music in the background – link | https://youtu.be/j9wOSeW4jeM

      So fuck off goose.

Maori has massive potential so this fucking human down play is atrocious and you just need to like stop them completly. It’s mainly the herald elitists that mainly think that humans have no potential at all so I’v started off by kicking a couple of poofs and now I’ll go on and kick their daddy the herald. gosman and andrew are kind of like training partners for the herald gymnasium so they are relativistic to each other and how strange this whole human down play is.

Surely it is bought media. What keeps the Herald functioning is not the audience and remember we are talking about elite media so the NZHerald is going to sell a good product that raises advertising rates. Now ask any advertiser, they want to adjust the audience so that raises advertising rates so we have an example of the herald selling there audience to other businesses.

So what comes out of the new zealand herald is a product that satisfies the needs and the interest of sellers/buyers and products. There are many other factors that go in the same direction, if people try and enter the herald with differing views they are excluded almost straight away by elite representation of the way the world ought to work and if it isn’t clear by now it is a representation of the world in the elites opinion which bares no resemblance to the real world at all. So if you acknowledge fake news in any way you are in fact plugging yourself into Russian psyops every time you pick up an nz herald news paper and this is the logical improbability of the way the herald presents it’s news on the daily.

After all the herald isn’t going to construct mechanisms that self destruct, thats not the way the herald functions. So unfortunately they all work to exclude or marginalise dissenting voices and alternate perspective and so on because they are dysfunctional to the herald and must be down played.

      So it is bought media.

    • Yep a greedy fella isn’t he. I heard the chinese think we are easy meat so i believe domination is possible. Buying up as many properties will be the priority and they will be well behind their club ‘Property Investor’. Which is just property porn on steroids really.

  2. Living near these Central Auckland Suburbs, that have been targeted by investors, I witnessed recently the sale of a large villa and land with “great development potential”, in the new Terrace Housing and Apartment Building Zone. In the same street we now have a poor Polynesian woman make the rounds on rubbish collection days, going through our recycling and other bins, taking aluminium cans and so out, to probably sell them herself to a metals dealer of sorts.

Rich and poor meet near where I live, here in the heart of Auckland, how “egalitarian” NZ Inc has become, it is a sick joke when I hear people talk about “equal”, “equal rights”, “fair chances” and so forth, we are light years apart now, divided in haves and havenots.

  3. Having read that post, and the comments, I know fully understand why we have such high rents in Auckland now:

Trade Me rentals for central Auckland suburbs:

An old, probably ‘smelly’ old downstairs 2 brm unit in a block, for $ 450 rent a week:
    http://www.trademe.co.nz/property/residential-property-to-rent/auction-1299908123.htm

One old one bedroom house in not the best area, 400 bucks a week:
    http://www.trademe.co.nz/property/residential-property-to-rent/auction-1287462639.htm

One bedroom flat in View Rd, Mt Eden, not really all that flash, but $ 530 per week:
    http://www.trademe.co.nz/property/residential-property-to-rent/auction-1286080873.htm

Let us not look at three, four or even five bedroom homes, they are truly unaffordable here.

RENTERS, wake up, you are paying through the nose to finance the properties of your often greedy “investor” landlords! Vote for change in September, stop this madness!

  4. Good connection Martyn.

I’ve struggled for some time about these property porn stories, particularly in the Herald, and had come to the conclusion that motivated public servants working in communication act on ministry direction and encourage pliable media to produce such content. Or, that same media is merely a reflection of muddle New Zealand’s obsession with property porn and lotto wins.

First time if seen a reference to industry players in the ‘property apprentice’ mould driving stories in the media though.

Needs further investigation although I’m not sure the Herald is capable or willing to do so.

  5. Look, settle-petal.

Houses cost money. Money is a finite commodity, but people who are not drugged up to the eyeballs and who work hard will achieve the Kiwi dream of owning a house.

NZ Herald is a relatively lame media . Just wait till we bombard the MSM and television with the televisual proof that hard work and drug-free life can bring streets of gold for those who accept ACT and its policies.

    • “Drugged up to the eyeballs” tend to be those rick prick multiple property investors, who drive flash new imported European cars, and who go clubbing each night, at the expense of their enslaved tenants, who pay their exorbitant rents and starve for the rest of the week.

Work is for the same rick pricks an alien word, it is an activity only for the serfs and slaves they frown upon.
