3 year old terrorist Fatima who was righteously killed in her Mothers arms.

 

The amount of people who have attacked Nicky Hager and Jon Stephenson on social media for exposing possible war crimes committed by the NZ SAS and signed off by John Key is truly astounding.

Every single one of them I have confronted on Facebook have all admitted that they haven’t actually read the book.

FFS.

There is no way any reasonable person can read Hit and Run and not demand an inquiry into what the hell actually happened.

Exposing the truth about our war crimes is exactly the job of investigative journalists, these who would attack and denigrate those exposing such injustice are effectively fascists.

What people are really saying when they attack Nicky and Jon is ‘shut up about our murder and maiming of innocents, we not only prefer to be ignorant, we prefer to not even have to be confronted by our abuses of power’.

Those NZers attacking Nicky Hager & Jon Stephenson would have cheered the Nazis on in the 1930s.

We are a fragile and shallow culture with all the maturity of a day old can of beer.

  1. I see English is backing the military 100%.

    This can only mean National polling results are in and they tell them enough New Zealander voters don’t give a shit about some Afghani’s being killed by our soldiers who are just there to fight a war against terror.

    I suggest what Curia have found is that “Shit happens, it not here, my house is worth more, who gives a fuck”. It is utterly irrelevant that the very people our soldiers were there to protect died, probably at their hands, nor does it matter that they were unarmed, nor that one was a 3 year old. Why, because Nicky Hager is a left wing nut and none of that probably happened and if it did, prove it and anyway “how much is my house worth again…?

    Based on that logic and nothing that even resembles common decency or doing anything lawfully Bill English and his rotten little deputy walk way, warm in the knowledge enough voters don’t care enough to ever do anything about this potential atrocity.

    It also tells me a lot about Bill English. He is an equally self serving empty soul as Key was and it reminds us that you can cut one head off the Hydra, but another appears.

The entire occupation of Afghanistan is a sort of ‘revenge raid’ it was never about protecting civilians, it was about punishing or destroying Al queda, and the afghan authorities that supported them ….by extension the civil aid programmes were about preventing the al queda, taliban, warlords, and now Isis from re-establishing a terrorist/resistance network. While a western approved authority is in place in kabul the western nations are glued to propping it up. Yet we shouldn’t be too surprised that this sort of thing (war crime)occurs, extremely few occupying armies through history have been a benevolent force when dealing with perceived or actual resistance. We New Zealanders are no exception and it just goes to show we should not have been involved in Afghanistan first place.

      Her name is Fatima and from all accounts she was a very happy intelligent 3 year old. She was a very beautiful little girl. The NZDF is responsible for killing her. Fatima would be about 10 now, if she had not been blown to smithereens!

      There must be accountability for cutting short her life in such a horrendous manner. I’d like to see her photo appear on every msm site, including TV, until an independent inquiry is held, with a justifiable outcome.

      Maybe Mike Hosking could open his Seven Sharp programme on TV 1 each week night, with Fatima’s image and saying something like “… This is Fatima. The NZDF courtesy of the NZ government, killed Fatima …” But he won’t, because people like little Fatima are of no consequence to him! To him and his ilk Fatima is collateral damage!

  6. The level of vitriol in some of the comments on Stuff is truly depressing.

    There are the Sam-the Eagle type which basically say don’t criticise the military. Ever. Because they are fighting for our freedom, y’know?
    Then there are the “Nicky Hager is a screaming left-wing conspiracy theorist” ones.
    Then there are those commenters who still think that because much of ‘Dirty Politics’ was sourced from leaked/hacked emails, that somehow overides the public interest in shining a light on what our elected representatives were up to when they thought they could get away with it. Therefore this book should be ignored, to punish Nicky.
    And a large number of commenters are admitting that they won’t bother to read the book, because it is a commercial publication and ‘Hager is making money off it so he’s a hypocrite’… somehow.

    I want to believe that we are more sophisticated than this, but the evidence, at least from the comments section, says otherwise.

    • If they got the wrong villages, then sue for defamation, oh that’s right you believe them because they said it is so. Someone left your pen open, time to get the sheep dog in to herd you back in.

      They won’t sue because the defense force are lying, they have been proven so already.

    • The NZDF has already lied, why do you believe them above the Hit and Run evidence which so far has proven to be correct. Will you also now be apologising and retracting?

  9. Is there confirmation the villages involved were indeed Naik and Khak Khuday Dad?

    The NZDF are stating they weren’t involved with those villages.
