Global warming makes Australia look more like a malignant tumour than a country.

The denial we have at the speed and enormity of climate change is extraordinary to watch, terrifying to comprehend.

Global warming is occurring far faster than the scientists first considered...

He is best known for ground-breaking research in 2014 which revealed the rapidly melting section of the West Antarctic Ice Sheet appeared to be in an irreversible state of decline, with nothing to stop the glaciers in this area from melting into the sea.

In an interview with the Herald, Rignot said while historical measurements stretched back a century, some of the most worrying discoveries in Antarctica had come only in recent decades.

Hurricane-force Atlantic storm to push North Pole to melting point in winter

A gigantic, powerhouse winter storm is charging through the North Atlantic and threatens to flood the high Arctic with abnormally mild air.

Arctic temperatures have blown past previous record highs in recent months, and this surge of (relative) warmth is just the latest in a long series that has amazed scientists.

For the fourth time in just over a year, the North Pole may near the melting point in winter, a previously rare event.

…the insane heat in Australia, the extreme weather events we are seeing here in NZ, the speeding up of melting glaciers and a North Pole facing hurricane winds spiking temperatures up in ways not witnessed before, this is global warming. This is what happens when you pump pollution into the environment without an sense of self control.

We are past the ability to stop what is happening, we need to start adaptation. Now.

    “Projections of future New Zealand climate change”

    This 2007 instigated NZ Ministry for the Environment “Climate change effect impacts assessments” report showed real promise until National came in and culled the whole reality of saving our planet.

    Now the latest CO2 level is inching close to the highest levels ever seen at a level never seen over the last 5000 000yrs.

  2. It is time to class “Climate Change Denial” as a Crime Against Humanity, and prosecute it vigorously, at every level of society.

    • Good luck with that agenda: the prime minister and every politician, every corporate CEO, every CEO of city, district and regional councils, the vast majority of council officers, every bank manager and 99% of economists. None of them could care less about their children’s futures and all are engaged in various forms of denial. And they have ensured that there are NO MECHISMS to hold them to account or change anything. in fact. they have ensured there is no public debate, and anyone who attempts to engage in one gets ‘annihilated’. I know from experience.

      Jim Hansen -far more influential than you or me- DID class those who promote meltdown of the planet as criminals….and made no impact whatsoever. The maniacs just carry on.

      Only when very large numbers of ‘middle class’ white people are suffering immensely from the effects of climate change will anything change. And then the change will be too little too late.

      Here is a fine example of the arrogance, greed and stupidity of humans, constructing new dwellings in flood-prone regions even as the water rises. .

  3. The scientific evidence predicts global cooling, but if you want to pay extra taxes for the politically motivated global warming agenda, you go right ahead. And if you really believe in global warming, feel free to attack anybody who disagrees with you. That seems to be what passes for scientific debate these days.

    • Errrr….I was under the impression that the scientific consensus was FOR anthropomorphically induced climate change. Do you have links to scientific publications asserting global cooling please – I’d be interested to read them.

    • Hi CosmicRay. Can you cite some really well researched, peer reviewed articles that support your statements? And although I have heard the assertion before, I don’t understand how it can be politically motivated, given that most governments struggle to agree on trivial matters, let alone issues of this scale.
