3rd and final debate – Clinton crucifies Trump and sends Republicans the bill for nails & timber

I thought Trump beat Hillary in debate 1 and 2, not on policy, not on delivery or on performance, but because Trump played to all the worst sexist elements of the American psyche he needs to get to vote for him if he is to win the White House.

The 3rd debate however left little doubt as to who the winner was, even to Republicans.

Hillary spoke to an educated electorate, Trump tried to scare an uneducated electorate. The style of the debate demanded actual policy and seeing as Trump doesn’t actually have any policy, it was always going to be a whipping.

It turned into a crucifixion.

This chart by @lennyletter  summed up the debate best…

…I found both candidates ‘respect’ for women to be laughable – what about all those women killed by US drone strikes?

The really concerning bit was Trump’s declaration that he would see about accepting the result. A Democracy is one where the exchange of political power occurs without violence, the need to accept the decision, no matter how vicious the fight is part of the agreement when participating. If Trump refuses that and feeds it, the potential for a dark anger will be born.

Before the election, I’m sure more allegations about Trump’s rampant sexism will emerge and the most damning emails from Wikileaks are yet to come. This election will come down to how many women hate Trump and how many men hate Hillary.

Imagine if Bernie had been the Democratic Nominee.

  1. Hillary is proposing a policy towards Syria and hence Russia that could lead to WWIII. Trump is ignorant of what is actually going on in Syria, choosing to vilify Iran. Both are terrible candidates but they are the candidates that the ignorant bigoted mass of Americans deserve. Unfortunately they are not the candidates that the rest of the world deserves. On balance I would hope Trump wins for one reason. As Dilbert creator Scott Adams states, “this is the once in a lifetime opportunity to bring real change to a government that is bloated and self serving”. Well two reasons actually, that and avoiding nuclear war.

  2. I thought that Hillary beat Trump in all three debates, but this time it was a bit closer. But others see it differently. For any reasonable person this can only be a choice between two evils, and Hillary is the lesser version of this. Perhaps we can hope that Bernie and his supporters will continue putting pressure on her as President, so she does do some things for the disadvantaged and the workers in the US. Of concern is stuff she is alleged to have said in emails released by Wikileaks and that she got paid big money for holding speeches from corporations and lobby groups.

We can expect more of the same in the US, and that applies also to foreign policy. One can only hope that Clinton learned a bit from past mistakes, but I would not bet on it.

As for the US, they will essentially continue to be ruled by the elite, the Wall Street bankers and the industrial military complex and the corporations already wielding much economic and other powers.

So more of the same, while Trump may start his own movement as a kind of outer parliamentary kind of opposition, serving the disgruntled and angry, feeding them with more spin and half truths and the likes. After this election US America will never be the same again, I think, dirty laundry and personal attacks, and using the media for ulterior campaign goals will continue, and drive standards even lower.

Trump’s threat to not accept the election result in November may be the beginning of such a new campaign, undermining the White House, Washington in general and all government institutions.

  3. I have found Trump to be like his early business ventures- bankrupt, morally, intellectually and emotionally bankrupt. He maybe needed to be in one of those”seclusion” rooms Parata new about back in July but lied when she stated she only new about them 2 weeks ago. Maybe the reason for her “early” retirement.

  4. Hillary’s War Crime — Paul Craig Roberts

Today, October 20, 2016, is the fifth anniversary of the murder of Muammar Gaddafi by forces organized and unleashed by US President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Remember the killer bitch’s performance, with gleeful laughter, on CBS “News”: “We came, we saw, he died.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fgcd1ghag5Y

Muammar Gaddafi was the most progressive political leader in the world. Gaddafi used Libya’s oil wealth for the benefit of the Libyan people. He lived in a tent, a nice tent, but not in a palace, and he did not have collections of European exotic cars or any of the other paraphernalia associated with the ruling families in Saudi Arabia and the oil emirates that are Washington’s Middle Eastern allies.

In Libya, education, medical treatment, and electricity were free. Gasoline was practically free, selling for 14 US cents per litre. Women who gave birth were supported with cash grants and couples received cash grants upon marriage. Libya’s state bank provided loans without interest and provided free startup capital to farmers. http://www.globalresearch.ca/libya-ten-things-about-gaddafi-they-dont-want-you-to-know/5414289

  5. Hillary is running against locker room talk and the Russians

Russia’s very able Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, said that the US presidential campaign is “simply some sort of a global shame” unworthy of the American people. She certainly hit the nail on the head. https://www.rt.com/news/363245-us-election-shame-zakharova/

Hitlery’s criminal record had to be suppressed by the Obama regime in order to move the oligarchs’ candidate in the direction of the White House. So here we are on the verge of nuclear war with Russia and China, and the important issue before the American people is Trump’s lewd comments with Billy Bush about sexually attractive women.

I mean really. Men’s talk about women is like their fish and hunting stories. It has to be taken with a grain of salt. But this aside, why is lewd talk about women more important than military conflict with Russia, which could mean nuclear war and the end of life on earth?

        http://www.foreignpolicyjournal.com/2016/01/06/new-hillary-emails-reveal-true-motive-for-libya-intervention/

….”Not only did Defense Secretary Robert Gates promote his bizarre “staged bodies” theory on CBS News’ “Face The Nation,” but the even stranger Viagra rape fiction made international headlines as U.S. Ambassador to the UN Susan Rice made a formal charge against Libya in front of the UN Security Council.

What this new email confirms is that not only was the State Department aware of the spurious nature of what Blumenthal calls “rumors” originating solely with the rebels, but did nothing to stop false information from rising to top officials who then gave them “credence.”

It appears, furthermore, that the Viagra mass rape hoax likely originated with Sidney Blumenthal himself.”

…”Among the world leaders saddened by Gaddafi’s death was Nelson Mandela, the first black president of South Africa. “In the darkest moments of our struggle, when our backs were to the wall, Muammar Gaddafi stood with us,” he said.

…”In 1997, Mandela defied the UN embargo to visit Gaddafi and thank him for his support during the anti-apartheid struggle. US President Bill Clinton called the visit “unwelcome.”

  6. Wallace asks Hillary during debate, if you impose no-fly zone in Syria “does president Clinton shoot that [Russian] plane down?”

In “private” Hillary Clinton admits that a no-fly zone in Syria means certain war.

In “public”, during the third presidential debate, Hillary Clinton doubled down on pushing hard for a no-fly zone in Syria.

Wallace asked Clinton point blank, if a no-fly zone is imposed and it is violated, “does president Clinton shoot that plane down?”

“That” plane, by the way, is a Russian plane.

    Clinton’s answer…“I think a no-fly zone could save lives.”

  7. I think there’s a wider question here. Traditional left wing press and commentators are as out of touch with us as the mainstream. In terms of my attitude to these ‘authorities’ and their orthodoxies, I find alt media far more appealing in terms of speaking truth to power. Unfortunately, alt media is swinging too far to the right.

What would an alt left look like?
