There is something deeply morally wrong about a small minority in our society making huge profits from non productive speculation, setting the economy up for a crash, whilst hard working people struggle to keep up with rack renting, never mind never being able to afford their own home. Unions have had enough of this, and we are going to build a movement to solve this problem like we did in the 1930s.

Join us to protest this, details here.

The one who should protest the loudest may not be able to get there, due to lack of money for the bus, or lack of money for the petrol, that is the problem. But I hope that some people will show up.

Those that may say, hey this is not a good venue, or it may “upset” a few people, they need to get real, when you think like that you may as well pack your bags and not bother doing anything.

It is time to inform our dear middle class friends, those who may be fans of the Block, young and old, that this kind of glorified opportunism is not going to solve the challenges we face.

We need to get back to learn to respect and honour the ordinary worker and citizen, who does her or his best to contribute, whether in voluntary or paid work, whether in any form whatsoever, who deserves also to be housed decently and humanely.

The adoration of the heroes created by rampant capitalism needs to be stopped, we must get back to reality and to the basics, and take all with us to move forward.

      QFT.

Capitalists aren’t heroes no matter what they think of themselves. In fact, they’re the reason why we have increasing poverty and homelessness.

One of the serious problems we have in this country is the Rugby Religion.

Ever since they went ‘professional’ we’ve had this ‘winners and losers’ aggro that gets worse year on year. Soaks into everything, like a leaky ballpoint.

The big BS about the magic of ‘competition’. Basically you cannot improve while you’re competing. Wrong environment.

Taints everything – including the increasingly vital need for co-operation and collaboration. If you aren’t a Hero (girl’s name, BTW) then you’re a Loser. Stupidstupidstupid.

    I’m with you Joe,

This is pure speculation a gamble with bank money then when the crash comes so many are ruined and bank’s get another bail out using our credit that we all wind up paying it back for many years.

It’s a rort of public credit and we wind up with the debt they bought to the economy.

It should be outlawed now before it ruins many more lives and families..

So are we getting a report on the protest, or was there after all a change of plan, which some people suggested?
