The Palestine Human Rights Campaign Aotearoa/New Zealand (PHRC) works to raise public awareness of the Palestinian people’s struggle to resist Israeli military occupation and Israel’s blockade of the Gaza Strip.

We believe that a just peace in Palestine/Israel depends upon the return of Palestinian refugees to their homeland and the dismantling of the Zionist structure of the state of Israel, recognising that the further partitioning of Palestine in order to create the so-called two-state solution would lead only to further injustice and suffering.

We advocate the primacy of international law, the acceptance of which by the Israeli regime must be the basis for the ending of Israeli military occupation and all forms of ethnic discrimination.
We work to raise awareness of the international community’s responsibility for upholding the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the urgent need for the state of Israel to be called to account for its gross abuses of Palestinian human rights.

TDB Recommends NewzEngine.com

We call for the establishment of a bi-national, secular and democratic state in Palestine/Israel, with full and equal citizenship rights for all.

We seek to bring pressure on the New Zealand Government to join the majority of the international community in requiring Israel to:

  • Observe all relevant UN Resolutions and Geneva conventions
  • Cease ethnic discrimination and territorial annexation
  • Abandon its militarism and violence

  1. This genocide has to stop. UN resolutions are ignored.

The US Empire and others have invaded for less than this Palestinian holocaust.

    People are not speaking out.

Are the fearful of the Zionist backlash and hysterical cries of “anti Semitism” from some who could well learn from being on the receiving end among the Palestinian victims.

      • The cry of “Antisemitism” is nonsensical if applied to a fair criticism of Israel or Zionism. But it is used very frequently in media which is largely controlled by Israeli / Zionist interests as are the main international banking structures, powerful political lobbyist organisations and politicians in their employ.

We have a noted one in NZ.

The emotional cry is also nonsensical as the Semitic languages include Arabic and many others.

Public cringe in fear of this hegemony and the hubris of the cry should not be retreated from. Give no quarter.

Fair criticism based on full disclosure of fact and effect is not only justified but essential.

The public must stand up against being controlled by a small powerful group using name calling to unfairly discipline fair criticism.

        • How about “Zionism is Racism”?
Please explain how that is fair.
Face it, the UN is screwed.

            • Fair point.
However, the UN continues to make weak decisions, including “Zionism is Racism”, and ordering Assange to be “released”.
What is your view on “Zionism is Racism”?

              • What does Assange have to do wuth this, TVOR? That sounds like quite a smelly red herring you’ve dropped into this debate.

Fact is, Israel has created a nasty reputation for itself, not helped by it’s neo-colonialist expansion into the West Bank with it’s illegal settlement-building.

When one culture colonises your land and displaces the people on it, what would you call it?? I think the term you’re struggling with is RACISM.

  2. I quote from Ramzy Baroud

“By completely shutting the door on any form of criticism of Israel, Zionism, and the censure of its military behavior in the region coupled with the daily violence meted out against occupied Palestinians, Israel has expanded the definition of anti-Semitism to include whole countries, governments, international institutions and millions of independently thinking individuals the world over.

However, not even such deliberate distortion should prevent us from making the differentiation loud and clear: anti-Jewish racism should be condemned as loudly and decisively as Islamophobia and any other form of racial discrimination and bigotry.

However, criticizing violent political movements and the behavior of any state that violates international law and human rights is a moral duty. Israel will not be the exception.”
