That’s what we call loloma, aroha, love
A wonderful feast of food, art & friendship at Ika yesterday raised $8500 (FJD12,000) for the Cyclone Winston relief effort. Thank you to those who came, ate, & bid for treasures. Thanks to Ika’s suppliers & friends for the gifts of ingredients and wine. Thanks to the artists & collectors who donated work & to auctioneer Robert Reid of First Union (when you need to be gently persuasive who better to ask?). And of course a huge vinaka to chefs Robert Oliver, Bertrand Jang (pictured) and the Ika team who gave a Sunday to the Islands that gave Ika our name. Look out for some of the new flavours on our menu. Vinaka vaka levu!

But wait! There’s more! We are hosting a Salon with the very interesting Rachel Petero & Tiowaana Harrington on Wednesday April 6. Through the RISE2025 programme she founded, in which Tiowaana participates, Rachel is exploring concepts of leadership with indigenous woman in the corporate, community & government worlds. What can these worlds teach each other about leadership? Come and share a meal & korero with us – bookings are open now.

And don’t forget museIKA tonight – with The Avenues (featuring our very own chef Jess) and guests. Our full menu is on offer and some extra specials too.
