Brothers, Sisters, Maori, Pakeha, Pacific Island, Asian, Indian, Migrant, Immigrant, Gay, Straight, Bi, Trans, Men, Women, young and old, left and right, able and disabled.

We must all march today against the TPPA – and you MUST bring a friend who would not normally go to a protest march.

This trade deal is going to rob our Parliament of its sovereignty. That means the representatives we put into power to create legislation we elect won’t be able to if that law endangers the profit margin of a foreign multinational corporation. These disputes will be taken to tribunal lorded over by 3 contract lawyers who will toss our rights out the window in favour of the corporations.

To sign this means we won’t ever be able to pass our laws if they threaten a corporations revenue.

We must make a show that we will refuse point blank to allow this desecration to our democracy to occur. Men and Women bled to death on foreign beaches to stop this level of foreign coercion from ever infecting our shores. The least we can do is stand for them and their sacrifice.
